I spent a year in Texas one day. It is by far one of the ugliest places on Earth, except for West Texas in the foothills of the Rockies. They used to say that Houston is just like Los Angeles, except there is nothing to do. Austin is OK, an enclave of liberalism in a vast wasteland of stupidity. I still like ZZ Top though.

Yeah, it was only the 2nd best program in the us for my feild. Seeing as how I chose not to have bastard kids in high school and my parents make so much money I didn't get any hand outs. I had to work 2 jobs and take out student loans because my parents said enough is enough after paying my rent and for my books at Hofstra. For Houston they bought my ticket, put $4000 in my bank, said I was crazy, and wished me good luck.
