This has been discussed in the Staff areas on multiple occasions and after much clamoring for it, it was tried in lost of locations. I used the same guidelines for the SNA Forum as were discussed in Staff and RTM's went through the roof. No matter how hard we tried to get the providers to understand the simple steps to posting a SNA notice in the thread, they couldn't stick to the VERY simple guidelines and then the other ladies RTM'd the posts like crazy.Haha Beagle! You figure you've made yourself a friend here? Told you were pissing into the wind. How foolish do you look now trying to do an end run? I'll just say "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you'll get" lol really the more fitting quote is " Blank is as, Blank does" but I have to choose my words carefully! Some little bitch might go all squealy!
In the end, it was just too much of a PITA (translate that to pain in my ass) to allow it to continue. If you have never tried being a Mod, you probably would not understand.
You can post all of the polls you like, discuss it ad nauseam, jump up and down, pat your head and rub your belly, etc but as long as I have a say the SNA thread is a dead issue in Austin, Waco, Temple, Killeen, and Bryan/College Station.
BTW, the owners are not fans of the SNA threads either.

At a glance, it appears that the problem can be fixed with some minor adjustments, instead of throwing the idea out altogether.
When I looked at the previous SNA threads, the recurring problem was with providers posting a time range for their availabilities and I'm assuming that was the main/only source of your grief. What I'm suggesting is not to redo the SNA thread and expect a different outcome......but to relax on the guidelines, by removing the time range listing limitation.

Oh no......I won't pretend to understand what it's like being a mod.....but I know it's not a task I want to be stuck with.......I won't be that dedicated...![]()

The poll was not created as a means to pressure any of the mods into relenting......no sir, that would be underhandedI set up a poll because I wanted to know if there would be many posters opposed to the idea. And I set it up as a public poll, so I could find out from the naysayers why they would be so against it......because I honestly can't think of any compelling reason anyone would be, other than the mods being driven crazy with RTMs......which I assume will be addressed with the removal of that one particular rule....

Rules were in place.
Ladies could not follow the rules.

The Short Notice Availability Forum issues were that Some of the ladies saw it as a place to put a daily or in some cases 3x daily ad. The playing field was no longer level.
If the providers who post are truly available on short notice every single day, the other providers can rest assure that it's just going to reflect negatively on those who do it. And if anyone posts, then miraculously becomes unavailable, the provider had better be prepared for the backlash when the issue comes to light.....
The playing field was level in the sense that every provider had equal access to the thread.
It is as simple as that. The whole idea is to make it equitable for all of the providers that advertise here and as we all know, some ladies try to exploit every loophole there is!!
But I see your point about some providers exploiting loopholes, thereby gaining an advantage over others. As far as I can tell, the source of the loophole was through violation of the time range listing rule. And if we do away with that, it'll bring everyone back down to a level playing field.
Say we set a limit on number of times a provider can post in 24 hrs, and some violate that.......issue a warning, and then points. I'd be interested to see how many repeat offenders there'd be.......no one would sympathize with repeat offenders taking timeout from the boards.
