I like the button on Slixa - "available now" - and it stays active for two hours after you click it. And you can unclick it if you get a client, so people aren't emailing and asking and not getting a response (that sentence was a little run-on-ish - sorry, it's late!). I wish we had that on our showcase or under our name so that if someone is perusing the posts, they would see "available now" and think, oh hey, maybe she can see me right now. Here's how it might work:

1) Every provider gets to post only once in the SNA thread. The post content is irrelevant as of now. This will list the providers according to their post number sequence......like a catalogue of providers.

2) Each provider would update their signatures to reflect their availabilities. They have to list the date, time range, and general location. The date has to be no later than the current date, meaning they can't list a future date 2-3 days from the present. An older date would just mean the provider hasn't updated her signature to reflect her latest availabilities.

Also, if posting ads becomes a hassle or overly punitive, then the ladies will stop posting and when the ladies go away, then the guys aren't too far behind and the site ceases to be relevant. This is why we don't really focus on threAds that much. We want the guidelines to be fair and relatively easy for the ladies so it does not become a hassle for them on a daily basis. The more options you have the more complicated it becomes and the more chances there are for mistakes, and punishment(s). No one likes that.

If it makes any difference, I'd volunteer to just mod the SNA thread for a period of time, using the rules in post #63.....after sorting out all other potential kinks. If I don't think it's practical in the long run......I'll list out all the problems and see if we can get to a solution. If not, we'll put this whole idea to a rest.

I'm assuming that mods still have the rights to give out directives in accordance with the thread guidelines, and any repeat offenders can be pointed on the basis of "ignoring directives", as Whispers pointed out.

The only other negative reinforcement I can think of is public shaming of repeat offenders......which I doubt sits right with the board owners.

The SNA thread hasnt worked and wont work. There are way to many ladies who dont follow rules or simply dont think they apply to them. Rules are broken daily in the normal ad sections and mostly by ladies who have been around and know better. The only rule in the provider ad section is to post once every 7 days. I see ladies sometimes daily violating that rule posting a few times a week. Thats a rule that you will be warned about for breaking yet some of the same ladies keep violating it. Your also not supposed to post any pussy shots yet again some ladies dont think that applies to them. Take for instance the threADs in coed, a majority of the time its the same ladies constantly starting them and even after they are called out on it they still continue to start them. Im sorry but a SNA will not stop the threAds in coed. The purpose of the SNA thread is for a lady to post her availablity only if she had a cancelation, I dont get cancelled on so for me its a waste of time as I wouldnt be able to use it. Its shitty that one person always has too screw shit up for everybody.

That's exactly why it was put in place. To maintain the level playing field for ad postings. It was only to let a lady who suddenly had a cancellation and therefore a short term availability situation to make that known. It is not so a lady can post a daily or even hourly ad!!!!

You have to know that even if daily ads were allowed there would still be messages left unanswered and PM not returned. It is unfortunately the nature of the beast.

It works in San Antonio.. I think ya'll are making it too difficult. Or maybe your provider's are much more wild than the ones in San Antonio.. which makes me question why Whispers and SL felt like they needed to whip us into shape... hmmmm...

And just to clarify, it doesn't have to be a time slot that opened because of a cancellation, right? I never figured out how that would be monitored, or why it was that important.....since anyone could make it up.

Honestly, it sounds like some people are just being lazy. Providers and mods. The rules are very simple, and not broad at all. Anyone that doesn't follow the rules gets their SN ad deleted and warnings/ponts. If you can't keep up with MOD duties, maybe you should add another person. Not being rude, just saying.

Everything you are describing Tracy sounds like a regular schedule that can easily be addressed in your Showcase and regular Ads.

STA seems to have been intended to mean filling unforseen scheduling issues, i.e. cancellations.

San Antonio is unique and in looking at it ya'll have simply an additional place to run ads outside of what the owners originally determined appropriate. Then again, your Mods don't seem to know the rules as well as other ares. Something we will help work on in a few weeks.
