With my limited hobbying opportunities, I have never stood up a provider and always call if there is a delay or change in plans.
With that said, I once had a provider go ballistic on me because by the time I got away from work and turned on my hobby phone (an hour or more before the scheduled appointment) she had blown up my phone with texts to confirm the mid-afternoon appointment that I had already believed was set in stone. She claimed that by not responding I screwed up her entire schedule and I should go straight to hell. WTF? We had an appointment. Maybe I'm not understanding the proper protocol, but is an agreement to meet at a certain time with a provider not really and agreement? I would be interested in learning the providers' perspective on this side of the whole issue.

Sorry this is happening to you, Sarah. This kind of thing irritates me beyond belief.

Unfortunately, there are just a lot of rude, inconsiderate people out there...on both sides of the hobby fence. (M & F both)

Life happens, but when I see a pattern of last minute cancellations or a NCNS, I require that they pay a non-refundable 50% deposit before I will agree to schedule again.

Getting some money up front seems to work miracles for their manners! Lol

I say bust them out here and you ladies share the experiences back channels...guys are busting you ladies out...its uncalled for to have a no call no show...scoot

As if standing you up wasn't rude enough...he has to slap you in the face with what he was doing instead by documenting it.

Maybe their wife or girlfriend started asking them questions why are so happy why you out all hours of the night. It could be work as well either way it's rude to ncns.
