I will agree to agree to disagree on GP as a mod

BUT

Having one set of Farkus rules regarding spider hole references, and another set of rules regarding ML, ROS, and Powder Room references is crap.

they seem the same to me.

But the next to last thing i'd have ever done around here would have been to allow dearhunter to be a mod.

At the risk of being banned by Farkus (idiot that he is) for mentioning he's the moderator of the spider hole, since it's his area, let him moderate the spider hole. And anyone who's not a member of the spider hole should be entirely off limits to him. If Trish's post was a violation of the guidelines, then let DD, Highwayman, or even CC deal with it. At least that way we'll have some consistency in the treatment of posts that reference topics in the ML, or the ROS, or the Powder Room, or the Spider Hole.

We do not know WHO banned trisha or why unless she told you.

As I'm not sure why, Maybe she stated something here from another area that she should have not and got banned. Yet I would bet it was something she posted here in Upset NY. That would be a local matter. That is a hot button in Houston (many banned for it) so it became a hot button higher in the food chain. Giving local mods here only one choice. Or I could be way off

I would expect a true moderator to be able to assess penalties to anyone in any area of the board. But even you claimed that dh shouldn't be expected to assess penalties to members in upstate who reference ROS info - even when it's brought to his attention. And in one of the threads in the links/quotes above, there were no less than 3 references to ML content, with dh absolving himself at the end of the thread of any responsibility for penalizing anyone.

So if he has his own little area of the board and wants to appoint himself as moderator, fine, let him. But his moderating should be limited to people who are members of his area, no matter what section they typically post in. Neither i, nor Trish, nor anyone else who isn't a member of his section should have to abide by his rules.

And to be quite honest, if he moderated according to the same rules as every (or even any) other moderator, i likely wouldn't give a damn where or when he did his moderating. But he doesn't. And unless you address my quotes above, don't waste your time trying to tell me he does.
