^^^ Lack of posting doesn't mean that folks aren't reading the posts and silently agreeing with the nod of their heads.

Many are still shy about posting from the stress and drama of the previous months. What is the goal here? A lot of posts related to debating points over some aspect of what one monger said to another, or quality posts that deal with real issues related to the hobby and matching up hobbyists with providers.

Frankly, if the the discussion is not about finding more of the types of ladies I like and learning about new and exciting things to do BCD with my favorite ladies, then my time on here is wasted.

Age old question of whether quality posts trump quantity of trivial posts. From perspective of the MODS and Board Admin, they may like the increased volume from the drama, but when many start to leave eccie because of the drama, the blip of increased add revenue is only short term and in the long term, the board and community that uses the board, both suffer. My 2 cents.

Lots of flirting is what I remember.
kind of got boring sometimes with the "i'm under " comments and your the best no your the best type post.
But the good flirters were fantastic and I think they are quiet now.

Now the pendulum has swung in the other direction.

I've concluded the bottom line is View Count.

This site doesn't exist so hobbyists can get laid or even get along. It exist to make the owners money.
That income increases with higher views which history has proven increases with controversy.
The most controversial posters and threads have by far the highest view counts. One cannot argue that fact.

Current Guidelines against certain topics are set in place more for the security of the site/owners rather than to ensure a civil or even pleasant environment.

While the vast majority of actors in this online reality show would prefer a much less hostile environment the unfortunate fact is nobody logs in to read niceties or flirtations.

The sad truth is Eccie is no different than any other mindless realty TV show. The highest ratings and views come from constant senseless chaos and conflict.

It's seems that letting the crazies run the ward is the only way to keep the view count up which supports the owners interests.
Those of us including myself who are fed up with the reality show BS probably just need to back off and mainly use the site for info/ads keeping in mind why the site is even up.

Using the ignore button works perfectly for not getting sucked into the chaos however it is the blowhards who keep the view count up.

It sucks but Pleasant site = mongers stop logging in = mongers stop clicking ad links = Owners don't make money = Eccie goes away.

Coed is definitely the biggest draw for the several hundred lurkers/popcorn eaters likely to click ads. When they get horny enough to book they hit the reviews and provider ad forums.

Granted some of those mentioned controversial posters have been around since ASPD as well but there has never been a shortage of shit stirrers as far back as I can remember.

Since the beginning there have always been sporadic "Let's get along" and "Be respectful" threads but not a single one has ever made a dent after receiving nods of agreement because no one is really interested in White Knight banter which is mostly what remains after you remove the Dark Knight banter.

Also you may have noticed dark knights periodly become white knights and vice versa.
Board enemies suddenly become frenemies or allies and teams switch up like musical chairs before going full circle.

Nothing will ever change. It's the inherent nature of fuck boards I suppose.

This is an age old repeated complaint. Has it ever made one iota of difference on a fuck board?

On an anonymous board dicks will always be dicks. Why? Because it's the one place they can be dicks and get away with it.

Viewing them enables them. If one supports them by reading their garbage then why turn around and expect that bitching about it will make any difference? It won't.

The only solution is for the majority to put them on ignore plus stop viewing their threads. You can't change a dick but you can ignore one.
When enough viewers do this then perhaps the board dynamics will change.

I personally don't see this happening anytime soon. Why? Because it has never happened that I can recall.
