It is a very real possibility that no one will get even 40% of the vote, let alone 51%. So, there is a pretty good likelihood of a brokered convention. You may also remember that 4 years ago, the Democrats were seriously talking about a brokered convention when it looked like neither Hillary nor Obama would get enough votes.
