Never highly collectable but the end of an era as the Chevelle died quickly when gas prices went up replaced by the Malibu. The redesigns of 1971 up to 1976 sucked big ones so if that is a 1970 it is a great project car because it was only made 1 year and will be worth the restoration.
You better not think of painting it anything but what it is as it will be a pretty car but why waste such a time period color (45 years) just cause gold isn't in right now. Changing colors on a car destroys value, requires the car be disassembled to prep. Leave it gold!!
P.S. That vinyl top is so time era classic that I would be restoring it if it is saveable, do not damage the trim as you will never get more... If ever up for sale, I have a buyer.

so no pink or purple ??? Lol you sound like my dad he's also been telling us the same thing and said in an idiot if i paint it Lol. I loved the car before I our I should say my brother took out the engine it was so fun to drive, but that engineer is gonna cost me like 45-4800$ but again I love old cars so it's worth it.
