These occupiers were criminals. Period. They impacted the lives of many other people and the reality is--they didn't care. They thought--and still believe--they are above the law. Why do some of the RWWs believe this is any different than any other illegal action?

Do people here actually support "If I move in with my guns and my pals, I have the right to take what is not theirs? They have a right to resist demands to leave? They have the right to demand special privileges/use of public property?

I disagree if it is this, or OWS, or a LWW group sitting in at a university and keeping other students from attending class.

The Oregon "protesters," while armed, broke into a federal building, occupied it, and then threatened to defend it with force. Of course the armed people, in a federal building, who threatened to use force against the government, are more likely to get shot.

Not to mention, the FBI didn't storm in at all. The shooting happened after they fled a traffic stop trying to evade arrest. They released the video, too. The guy gets out of the car after it is "forced" to stop, and then reaches towards his coat/waist twice before he is shot. He basically acted in a way that made him appear like a threat, they knew he was armed, they knew he was part of the group that said it was willing to use force, and he got shot for it. I didn't use the word "storm" for a reason. They did not storm the building. They did ambush those driving to a meeting. As for Occupy, there were too many criminal acts committed against people to say that they were "unarmed". It just wasn't talked about by the press too much but exactly how does someone get stabbed without a knife or robbed at gun point without a gun? Those parks that they occupied, they were being used by the public and not isolated parks. If Occupy had gone outside of New York City and occupied a vacant piece of land, I imagine that they could still be there if they wanted to be. WHEN GOVERNMENT BECOMES A RAGING FIRE Americans Like LaVoy Finicum Get Burned

There is a fire in the hearth and a kettle standing over its flames. It gives us warmth, lights the cabin, and sustains our lives throughout the winter. We add a log and stoke the fire, careful to keep it in under our control.

What happens when the flames escape their proper place?

The source of warmth and light becomes a raging blaze that consumes and destroys all it touches. What was once a necessity for life becomes a cause of death and destruction.

For that reason the fire is keenly watched and kept under vigilant control. After all, the fire is there for us. We are not there for the fire.

Government is like fire in a hearth. It is a necessity and works for our well being. The danger of government becoming a consuming blaze is always present and requires a watchful eye, lest it turn from a necessity for life to a cause for death and destruction.

The events in Oregon this week demonstrate a government that is raging out of control. Robert “LaVoy” Finicum died in the flames this week when he and his friends ventured away from the occupied Malheur National Wildlife Refuge.

• What to expect

The media can be expected to portray the patriots as irrational extremists. Like Randy Weaver, who lost his wife and teenage son when government agents fired on his outpost in 1992, we look forward to Hollywood stigmatizing the patriots as psychotic ideologues, out of touch with reality.

We can anticipate Americans to dismiss the patriots as another fringe group; a militia faction to be ignored and dismissed.

Meanwhile, the fire rages.

We can expect the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to continue its regulatory slash-and-burn policy in consuming our freedoms.

Under the pretext of protecting the environment, the EPA will regulate such mundane elements such as solid fuel heaters. Government agents will contend that emissions from a cabin’s fireplace or wood-burning stove are a danger to the environment.

Notions of Americans fleeing the engulfing blaze of an overreaching government will be dashed. Imagining oneself living in solitude in the hinterland, out of sight of the government’s eye and out of reach of its hands, will be nothing more than a fool’s dream.

Simply trying to warm oneself will be cause for government intervention.

We can expect government agents to act under the guise of the EPA to restrict water usage. Collecting rain water will defy government mandates for efficient water management. An oil drop in a puddle of water will be interpreted as abuse of the environment. The tainted water could find its way into the mainstream and upset nature’s delicate balance, they will contend.

• Macro-aggression through micro-management

In reality government agents are crafting micro-management regulations to prohibit Americans from successfully living freely. A log in the hearth, a rain barrel, or a drop of oil in the driveway can entangle you in the web of irrelevant regulations and eventually land you in prison or, as was the case with Robert ‘LaVoy’ Finicum, in an early grave.

The government will always excuse its regulatory intrusion as a necessity for our own good, for the protection of the environment, or to secure the civil rights of a protected class of people.

Like a blazing fire, government has no conscience, takes no prisoners, and consumes everything it touches. Once out of the hearth, it’s often impossible to control; usually burning itself out after destroying everything and everyone in its path.

It’s macro-aggression through micro-management.

• A policy of displacement

Government agents will prod and poke us through airport scrutiny, even electronically stripping us naked under the pretext of security. Meanwhile, other government agents busy themselves plotting a means to import hundreds of thousands of Muslims from the most radical nations on earth.

While government agents in Oregon fret over a handful of patriot holed up in a remote outpost, the world’s largest, oldest, and bloodiest hate group — Islam — is gaining footholds throughout our nation. And its doing so by government invitation.

We are being displaced by agents in our own government.

How foolish we are to presume the federal agents in Oregon are protecting our security while agents in the nation’s capitol tirelessly labor to flood our nation with a tsunami of “refugees” who want little more than convert us to their religion of hate.

Do we truly expect the government to secure our ground border with Mexico while it charters airliners to fly hordes of Muslims 35,000 feet above our borders to colonize every corner of our nation?

It’s a raging fire that is out of control and at least one man died this week fighting that fire.
