Not resorting to the same childish taunts helps me better control my own emotion and handle things more level-headedly and reasonably, it also teaches me what kind of nonsensical arguments I am going to hear outside of the boards, so I am more prepared for them.

It isn't about them, it is more about myself. And this is true for every single person on this board. . .so when you resort to childish name calling, you are are saying something about yourself, not the other person.
