I didn't ignore your reply, I addressed it directly.
Nope. All you did was repeat your original whine about why didn't I criticize the OP.
And Yssup knew that Trump's response would be heartless, idiotic and reminiscent of one of the world's most notorious fascists.
Trump said we should bring back waterboarding and “a lot more”. Who is he being “heartless” or "idiotic" to? Definitely not the victims. Must be the terrorists then. So your first instinct is to call anyone who would punish those murderous psychopaths a fascist? Got it!
So he showed empathy for the victims by using the tragedy to disrespect Donald, in the same way that you believe that Waco showed empathy by using the tragedy to disrespect the president.
Likening someone to Hitler because that person is determined to punish mass murderers (who, ironically, are much more like Hitler than Trump will ever be) shows ZERO empathy for the victims. Instead, by signaling that you care more about the perpetrators than the victims, it shows gross insensitivity and misdirected outrage.
You are so wrapped up in your own ridiculous partisanship that you are blind to how easily your own defense of Waco can be used to defend Yussup as well if you were just able to put yourself in another's shoes for a second.
What makes my partisanship “ridiculous” while yours (presumably) is sensible and restrained? Choose your adjectives with care, fido. You are the one who is willfully blind. You can't even distinguish between Waco wanting to stop these attacks and assup screaming “fascist!” whenever someone promises to get serious about doing it.
You believe you are right, so doing the same thing isn't disrespectful. Your problem is that you don't get that Yssup also believes he is right, and by doing the same thing, it isn't disrespectful.
It has nothing to do with my believing I am right. Why don't you ask the victims who THEY feel disrespected by – the guy who wants to put a stop to this savagery that killed or wounded hundreds of Belgians? Or the guy who rushes to defend the miscreants who did this AGAINST those who want to stop the savagery?
And, without fail, when your argument has been dismantled, you put words in my mouth so you can attack a strawman.
Lol. You haven't even put a dent in my argument, let alone “dismantle” it.
All I did here was point out your own double-standard.
And all I did was explain 3 times why there is no double standard.
I made no mention of what the Belgians should or should not do. Unlike you, I don't feel the need to rush to take a side as quickly as possible and then attempt to be more outraged than the last person. I'm a rational person who likes to think through things, not one who likes to let my emotions lead me around.
Congratulations on staying so calm and deliberate. Now that you've had 3 days to ponder the situation, whose side will you take? The victims or the terrorists? We wouldn't want you to rush to judgment, fido.

So which so-called "strawmen" did you miss, fido? I'll be happy to show you the speeches, transcripts and videos. You did say you are swayed by facts and reason, right?
