Trump - The nepotism begins

Trump doesn't want his kids to clearance because they're his kids. He wants the clearances because he trusts them. He's going to be President. Deal with it.

If that is some kind of exception to the rule against nepotism, then the exception will swallow the rule, right?

We look down on nepotism despite the fact that leaders trust their family. We don't excuse it because they do.

the practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives or friends, especially by giving them jobs.
And I don't have a problem with RFK being AG, at all. He got J. Edgar all riled up and I like that. What I have a problem with the the hypocritical nature of the current attacks on the President-Elect when there is nothing different today between the two scenarios, except for this little thing;

Federal law, at 5 U.S.C. § 3110 went into effect January 7, 2011
Federal law, at 5 U.S.C. § 3110, generally prohibits a federal official, including a Member of Congress, from appointing, promoting, or recommending for appointment or promotion any “relative” of the official to any agency or department over which the official exercises authority or control. The statute defines a relative, for these purposes, as "an individual who is related to the public official as father, mother, son, daughter, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, first cousin, nephew, niece, husband, wife, father-in-law, mother-in-law, son-in-law, daughter-in-law, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, stepfather, stepmother, stepson, stepdaughter, stepbrother, stepsister, half brother, or half sister."
It wasn't law in the Kennedy era, it is now. My point was that it's nothing new, been widely practiced at all levels of government forever. And the Democrat President generally regarded as the best ever was the biggest visible user of it.

Now....Teddy had a "highly distinguished career"?
I have to state with due respect, when Teddy left Miss Kopechne to die in that car, didn't attempt a rescue, didn't call for help, didn't stick around for the authorities, and then left the scene of the accident for hours...that nullified and tarnished any future distinguishment that he ever achieved.

Different opinions make the world go round.

He is for unlimited surveillance and indefinite detention. I can see why you support him. Besides, I have spoken to him on several occasions. He's an idiot, and a danger to freedom. You should do your own research and quit relying on others for your opinions.
