Gettin out of work

After Hurricane Ike hit, I just wanted one full night of sleep, but people needed their lights back on. I had to work 3 weeks of 16 hour days, then 2 weeks of 12 hour days. No days or hours off.

Just suck it up and go to work. We all want time off from work, but we are hired for a reason. Suppose you miss a month of work, without pay, and your company realizes they don't need you.....then you will have a whole lot of time off. Originally Posted by DEAR_JOHN

Like seriously dude mental health is a serious issue we all should be concerned with , especially from our pale brothers(I don't think Trey is) because we know you'll don't know how to process any pain and will go postal in a heartbeat unfortunately. It's time out for sucking it up. I would rather the dude took a month off to get himself together and any employer with some sense would without jeopardizing his job. My best friend is a lineman. There is no way in hell I would work alongside someone sleep deprived. The power companies should never work guys like that, but at the end of the day most companies really don't give a foook about their most valuable resource; people. Sometimes sit one out dojo. This wasn't the time like you don't want anyone lecturing you about the sense of raw dogging providers during the height of the alphabet epidemic....
Shine.....just maybe, just maybe....if you work real hard....someday you might have your own car parking company...and you will understand a little better

RTM'd.......not because I'm scared, but because you're just not worth it.

I got real lucky that I only had one angry customer, and a few sarcastic ones, but if you shot straight with them, most were understanding.

No doubt anybody with half a brain cell would know what all hands on deck means.

I dealt strictly with refineries (in-plant) in the area at that time and as you know, they needed their units up and operational ASAP and would pay whatever it took to make it happen...I was tired no doubt but happy to take their generosity’s....Texas City was very profitable at the time.....

Trey you bet not listen to any of these guys. They coming outta the wood work lying their asses off. Now they all own business...ya right lemonade stands or Taco trucks. Bruh these guys stay on this site wondering what SC is talking about way too much for them to be legit business owners...and why listen to them anyway they wouldnt hire you because of your race...so reject every fucking thing they're saying.

It's all about the FMLA. Take the time you wont get paid but your job is safe. Just Google the reasons for using it and mental health is one. I'm right par the course.

I know how you linemen work. I have another guy I'm close to who is a supervisor of a company. He said Shine Da Great I love storms especially in NY. I'm like to myself this dude actually is hoping for a catastrophe in order to make unheard of money. Like 7000 a week. I'm good. Again I wouldn't want to be hooking some high voltage shit up next to someone who is beyond exhausted and I am also. All hands on deck has got to have a common sense variant attached to it. And I know the lineman game gents. You'll getting paid for risk. Ain't no parts of busting your ass really working hard in that genre. So please tell someone else that. Thanks for my lights I got back on after being in da foooking dark for two weeks.
