Chicas Locas 2 drink minimum

Chicas Locas is starting to push a 2 drink minimum that they say has been in place for 6 months. I have never been pressured to buy drinks until recently. I usually just buy drinks whenever I feel like it but back to back waitresses will come one after another. They were asking everybody that wasn't sipping a drink.

Man that's some bullshit. Who told you that?? Don't give in. When they "fix" the dollar well machine that is always "broken," then they can talk. Lol.
If a club, or god forbid a waitress, wants to strong-arm into doing something, I'll happily take my money to the next business.

I have heard from different people, that "Mexican" clubs tend to attract Mexican guys who linger, don't buy drinks, don't spend for tips.. they just want to kick back and watch naked girls. I wonder if that idea plays into the 2 drink minimum? if you pay a cover, I don't see how the drink minimum is enforceable. but if I'm running a Club, I don't want "ne'er do wells" hanging out either, LOL
Can you expand on how you were pressured? Some of the waitresses are just hustlers...
I for sure am not there for the drinks. I’m trying to get in and out as quickly as possible.

What happens if you don't consume alcohol? They can't make you consume alcohol. Not sure they can enforce that rule. Be the same as a steakhouse with a rule that you must eat a steak. I have friends that go to steakhouses but they don't eat red meat.

Tell them to put the club back to a better format and refurbish the place a bit, and they wouldn't need to try to enforce drink minimums. They would get enough customers then.

I will try another night and see how it goes.

Manager did the same shit to me. I already got my two drinks and then switched tables later without carrying the empty bottles. Manager came up to me and said you're lying, you need to order drinks or leave. Didn't even bother to ask the waitress if I had drinks or not.

Hmmm... two drink minimum, pushing the VIP (did I read that it went up from $50 to $70? not sure), new manager up from Houston. Looks like the old business model was not making money and they brought someone in to fix it. Whether it will be successful remains to be seen.

Meanwhile, does anyone remember when Cabaret Royale was THE premium club in town? What happened? Maybe they should revive that model.

Mm true, CR was at one time the shit! Lovely ladies and a lot of phone numbers in my wallet back then.
