And you're a perfect example as to why getting an education is important. Originally Posted by Little Monster

Just wondering how IQ is measured for people that can't read or write.

In America, if you can get a few questions correct about the Kardashians and Britney Spears, and J Lo, you already score a higher IQ that most of Africa. That's our culture IQ.

If there were more questions about Michael Jordan, they would have scored a lot higher. Originally Posted by VitaMan

Regardless, the IQ test has been deemed racist.

Anyone who thinks a degree makes them smart is not so smart. Intelligence is something one innately has. You don't receive it from an institution.

I've lived in a rural area in Arkansas. A town so small that it did not have a police station or any police patrolling anywhere even close to the town. It's not dangerous. There's nobody there. You should carry a gun to protect yourself from bears, but that's about it.

There is some crime in more populated towns (populations in the thousands), but I don't think it's comparable to Chicago. It's like someone stealing a four wheeler or trying to rob the local gas station. They have more of a prescription drug and meth problem than gang violence.

I definitely like Chicago more than those shit hole rural towns, but I would stay away from the southside. Originally Posted by Strokey_McDingDong

That statement is your opinion. Four year degrees aren't really shit, in my opinion, and plenty of people realize that soon after graduating. That doesn't make them necessarily stupid, but naive and complacent, which is what I was.

I've mentioned before that my degree helped me to get a descent job, but I don't use anything I studied at university, and I likely never will. So, it seems like it was largely a waste of time, despite helping me to get an okay job after.
