Legalize provider services

Believe it is now time for states to pass legalized provider services and taxes can be of use to state coffers. Extra revenue could help many people. LE would be freed to better duties of protection. Providers would be able to work in a safer environment. Clients would increase due to freedom from LE. Health insurance would cover provider care.

I don't know about KS but TX just recently made it a felony to pay a provider. Getting further away from legalization, not closer.

I agree OGL. It's the world's oldest profession. Just because it's illegal doesn't stop it from happening.
Legalization works well in Europe, why not here?
I am glad this topic came up! I agree legalizing would be a benefit to all concerned. BUT the one thing I have wanted to ask was about the Texas law change? Still allot of hobbying down there. There is always the chance that people taking all precautions might get caught! In the KC metro a misdemeanor ok! But a felony charge would scare the crap out of me.

But the hobby is still thriving right?

I do most of my hobbying in countries where it is decriminalized, if not downright legal. And guess what? You have real competition!

1. Hourly prices are lower;

2. Quality of ladies is much higher (It's not unusual for me to find out they have advanced degrees and successful careers in the RW);

3. Health safety is openly discussed, and ladies with health issues don't last very long;

4. While there is always a niche for the organized crime element, the hobby is much safer, predictable, and just downright civilized.

5. Specialized services are easier to find, and ladies don't get their undies in a bunch if you ask. Many times , they will refer you to another lady that offers and enjoys that specialty.

6. As with most things, if you are polite, respectful, and a gentleman, AMAZING things can happen. Stuff that never happens in the US.

I just do not see any form of legalization happening most places today. The Obama years gave us the most liberal government we have ever had. The liberals had control of all the levers of power except for the Supreme Court . . .where decisions often could go either way. In that time, no one even mentioned legalizing the hobby or any aspect of it.
Just remember this is election year so may be good time to contact candidates about this issue.

We are reaching the point of monitoring people by money, movement, communication etc that will no longer allow those watching to ignore
or pretend they do not know what is happening. What was behind closed
doors in 1999 is at the touch of a screen today.

I think some of the states that are looking to lock people up for a
little pussy pay to play will soon have some tough choices to make.

Texas continues to leap backward into the Stone Age. I agree with you DNinja69 - some states are going to have a lot of 'splainin' to do when Epstein-island-like lists of "felons" can be generated with a simple search.

P4P is now a felony in Texas and illegal in all but one state, but oddly, we can openly discuss this topic here on ECCIE while others, more prominently discussed and voted upon nationwide, are taboo. Sigh...

Older guys might remember the slogan - Keep the Govt out of our bedrooms. Mainly used for gays etc...

The Less Government the better. Calif can't even make money selling legal cannabis. Anything the govt touches it will find a way to screw it up.

Even in NV, brothels are an hour away from civilization - When I was trucking I used to see a few of the ones along I-80. Not impressive, woman most are okay, service is expensive and lacking in 'service'.

De-criminalize it Yes. I know vegas for sure (not sure what Reno does), "Escorts" are legal. As long as they escort you to a show, dinner, keep you company, but when it comes to the bedroom activities, the time is spent between 2 consenting adults. It's a fine line that Indies and everyone dances around, but I'd rather just get a ticket than have brothels pop up all over vegas making the indies disappear.

It's only a misdemeanor for the provider and the monger. Get 2 or 3 it gets more serious, still a misdemeanor but bigger fines etc.. Any good lawyer can get you out of the charges because of the Escort rule. That's why cops don't really care and tell the public they're focused on "Human Trafficking".

Govt's can make money - They would still screw it up somehow. Just de-criminalize it and Vegas would be like a new Gold Rush.

It's easier than ever for LE to make a charge as all they need is for a John to ask for a sex act for money over a text, email, private message, oral conversation and they can make an arrest and yes charge you with a felony.

Girls and guys think you have to flash the cash or take your clothes off or if asked truthfully admit to being LE. Nope all they need is for you to ask for a sex act in exchange for something of value.

The Texas House made Solicitation a Felony on a Bill submitted by a Liberal Female AA State Rep from Houston. At a time that the left is concerned about laws that target minorities they could not have come up with a new law that would effect minorities more than this one.

This new law has made LE extremely active in 2023 in the pursuit of stings luring Johns to Hotels. They do not even have a woman in the room they just wait for a knock on the Hotel Room door and make an arrest.

Cities revel in the news of a Solicitation Sting and post pictures and names on social media and in the news. The minority pictures/names are showing a 10 to 1 ratio of minorities to Caucasain.

Maybe white guys are more aware of the law and do more research into if a provider is real. Do not take the bait and ask how much for a BBBJ?

I'm a card player and run across allot of LE playing and working off duty and in casual conversation the topic of Prostitution comes up. I use to share information about possible stings and enforcement but guys hate those post. Why? IDK they want source information and claim it to be upsetting and creating fear...whatever let them spin the wheel and see if they get laid or catch a felony charge.

The hobby in DFW is alive and well.

Again legalize the industry, I still think many good things would come out of the change.
