Trumpf is prez... gotta own this

Just this week (in the reddest of red states):

Bridgestone announces a tire plant closure in Tennessee with 700 layoffs and other reductions

I guess they can get new jobs picking oranges?

Trump and Republicans said they would lower prices. Eggs are still high. If he can’t get prices back to what they were pre-Biden he is gonna have to answer for not lowering prices.
It's been only a week in office. I guarantee you by the end of the year the prices of eggs will be down. This president is doing what is best for this country, today. I never seen nothing like it in my lifetime.
... No worrys, mates - heard from VP Vance on this very issue today
- he feels that President Trump's plan of increasing Energy Production
will be the cause of prices coming down.

... WINNING! ..

Vance’s theory shows he has no clue how to bring down prices in either the short or mid-term. Which is sad because he worked in finance. Actually, I’m sure he actually knows better but knows the Trumpy folks are pretty dumb and will just parrot anything, no matter how nonsensical.

Oil is about 75 a barrel. That’s high profit margin for the oil industry. They are not gonna push the oil into the 60s just to make Trump happy when it means much lower profits and increased cost (as they have to pay more to get to the oil which would allow them to get volume up sufficient to push down per barrel costs).

Further, increasing oil production takes time and that isn't an instant knock on effect that will drive down prices even if transport costs could make groceries lower by a noticeable amount (which is doubtful). This isn't something that will have an effect on peoples pockets in the next two years, much less 1 year or 6 months.

There have been external factors affecting egg prices. Under Biden in 2022 a round of bird flue, and another round in 2024 under trump is going on. Egg prices are predicted to be high the rest of the year.

JV's gotta be livid. His boys eat like 30 eggs a week back when he was pretending he couldn't find eggs for $2.99 a dozen. That's gotta hurt the old pocketbook

Wonder if he and Trump are going to give the chickens ivermectin and maybe pray on it

Wake me up when Trump actually signs significant bills through Congress. Should be easier now, EOs aren't that powerful and insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Originally Posted by royamcr

It might take a while to reverse the fuck ups of Biden, lol. Originally Posted by Levianon17

Let's back up to egg prices.

Avian flu equals termination of entire flocks which causes production quantity issues.

You guys need to stop reacting to the newsies ongoing sky is falling commentary and look at basic cause and effect of the sub-level economic issues that relate to any business.

As an example, folks ask me why the vet bill for our meat production enterprise is as low as it is. We are not skimping on anything. We simply have a production license that allows us to buy vet chemicals and we ourselves hit all our cattle on schedule. Btw, I have lost count of how many cattle and horse foals I've been the midwife for. Originally Posted by Unique_Carpenter
