Trump Says DEI just killed 60 people

Yep, Biden was blamed for inflation as soon as he took office. Trump gets the same blame now, it's on his watch. Especially since this involved military and federal ATC. That definitely is pinned on him. Instead he is renaming water. Originally Posted by royamcr

Head of the FAA interview clearly stated traffic was not low. Staffing was low but not unacceptable. She also stated her concern to Congress about not enough controllers. Maybe Biden intended to cross train some of the 81,000 IRS agents he wanted to hire. After nine days its Trumps fault right Originally Posted by tman1847

It had nothing to do with not having enough ATCs.
... Then, obviously the manager made the WRONG decision.
Should've had two people there. ... Perhaps the tragedy
don't happen IF they are properly staffed.

... It's NOT complicated, 1blackman1. ... No need to make it so.

... And perhaps the FAA's hiring practices - DEI and what-not
has added to the rising number of "near crash" misses that
they've had in the last two years or so.

... Trump's not wrong about this.

during Trump’s first term, in 2019, the FAA announced “a pilot program to help prepare people with disabilities for careers in air traffic operations,” saying that “a key focus for the FAA’s Office of Civil Rights is to identify specific opportunities for people with targeted disabilities, empower them and facilitate their entry into a more diverse and inclusive workforce.” The FAA continued to promote the pilot program in the latter half of 2020, near the end of Trump’s first term.

The FAA’s 2019 and 2020 descriptions of the program emphasized that people with disabilities would not be hired for jobs for which they weren’t capable. The FAA wrote in 2019 that “the candidates in this program will receive the same rigorous consideration in terms of aptitude, medical and security qualifications as those individuals considered for a standard public opening for air traffic controller jobs.”

Looks like the fault in causing this wreck/collision was on the Blackhawk pilot and crew. Is the helicopter, since it’s got black in its name a DEI vehicle? I won’t say what race the pilot and trainer were but does being white make them DEI hires for the military (if they are white)?

Regarding all the noise being created now in the thread and elsewhere, Trump politicizing this disaster is plain wrong.

Fact Check: Yes, Obama and Biden Had FAA Hire People with Intellectual, Psychiatric, Severe Physical Disabilities

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/polit...e0a034fc&ei=61

From the article: "The question raises itself: We weren't hiring air-traffic controllers, some of the most critical positions in civilian government employ, simply on the basis of merit?

Fact check: Accurate, unfortunately."

There are also many articles detailing that the tower had a staff of 19, but to be considered fully staffed they need 30.
Many of you continuing to stray off topic

Let's repeat the facts

With no evidence whatsoever Trump implied that DEI was to blame for this

And when asked how he determined that he said it was because he had "common sense"

That would be hysterical if all of these people had not died

He's a lying fuck. Always. Can't help himself.

Still I ask the question, were the helicopter pilots - who Trump is now blaming - were DEI hires?
