CNN already fact-checked you in the linked article above. To quote:

"Trump implemented sweeping tariffs on about $300 billion of Chinese-made products when he was in office. President Joe Biden has kept those tariffs in place and, after the USTR finished a multiyear review earlier this year, decided to increase some of the rates on about $15 billion of Chinese imports."

Biden kept the Trump tariffs in place. What part of "kept those tariffs in place" do you not understand?

GM was right. CNN is right. You are wrong.
Really? I knew potato head Joe was a winner.

What results did his noble and diplomatic actions with Mexico provide?

All I saw was an enormous increase in illegals and the word that starts with F that I can’t say.

So she extracted some promises from Trump. Nice.

She's proven a savvy leader with a cool head thus far.

A trend appears to be emerging that Trump's a tariff paper tiger Originally Posted by HDGristle

Alex Panetta on CBC this morning really laid into Trump on tariffs.

"The thing about tariffs as a threat is that it's only effective if you use them, you can't constantly back away like he did with Colombia the other day and that it appears may be happening with Mexico..."

Lol

Do the China-focused tariffs include rods, reels and blood worms?

Should start calling them trump's national sales tax.

Because that's basically what it is. It's going to effect the bottom line of people who have a lot less than the people who have a lot more. And there's a lot more people who have less than those who have more.

Let them eat cake.

It's kind of like praising Trump for getting Mexico to send 10k troops to the border for a surge.

Biden got Mexico to do that without a big hullabaloo about tariffs. In 2021. Originally Posted by HDGristle

Please clarify.

Mexico caved, sending 10 K troops to the border if Trump ends the tariffs.

One day, more winning.

Did Biden lift a 5% tariff on clothespin imports from Albania? If so, that surely proves Gristle's point!

Biden kept most China in place. Even added to them, despite his team admitting that existing tariffs hadn't changed the Chinese behaviors. They were in a position to play the tariff avoidance game to still get their products in and we ate the cost as the prices increased despite the Chinese product avoiding the tariff. They also have a wildcard they can play to blunt the impact.
