Inflation hits the fun market

My comment was because of 69s comments about the factory jobs and AI. There's always some other avenue to make money just got to look for it and be willing to go do it Originally Posted by CatMan4u

On the bright side, like most technical advances I'm sure sex robots you can't tell from a human will be one of the first applications. Hell, there's already people that have AI "lovers" without the physical aspect, can you imagine when they can have the physical part too...and she (or he) will never say no to ANYTHING.

69 today I was trying to be positive
We have lost a lot of factory jobs for years and as time progresses we humans will be replaced I hope to be dead on gone before that gets to bad but back to the topic most providers have lost the ability to price value in their rates and with the attitude of no reviews on top of high rates I choose not to see them. So they can concentrate on the Wall Mart eces
I’m pretty accomplished at that already 😳 Originally Posted by wyldthang1001

If anyone took Econ 101 in college, you'd quickly understand we don't need, nor should we want to bring manufacturing back to US. That's a 1960's economy and we can't compete with China, Vietnam, Pakistan, et al., who can make a shirt for $2. We can't. And we shouldn't. If America tries to make a shirt for $2, it'll be a robot in a dark factory (no lights as robots don't need to see), not a human. Tariffs won't work, because if you place a 50% tariff on that $2 shirt, it now costs $3. We still can't compete. America needs to focus on 22nd century jobs. Bio tech, AI, clean energy, medicine, math & sciences, nuclear, engineering (my department) or I swear we will be owned by China and India - both who have a huge leap on us as their respective government are spending massively in those areas. Otherwise it won't matter what a provider chooses to charge, none of us will be able to afford it as we will be working jobs paying $2/hour to make a pair of socks.

AGI is still cold fusion level fantasy. LLM are nothing like that and are only glorified chatbots. It's a bubble that's going to pop soon and will wreck our already failing economy.

If we lose world reserve status before we re-shore manufacturing, hobby supply is going to skyrocket and demand is going to plumet. Originally Posted by scribe479

We're in the process of losing world reserve currency status to physical AU, hence no mention in the news after records have been broken on a weekly basis for 13 months straight and running. 4 years isn't enough time to reshore manufacturing jobs IMO. Not gonna happen.

Manufacturing will never re-shore. If it does in any manner it will be robots, not paid humans, doing the work. And before you start saying high-paying jobs to maintain the robots, AGI (artificial general intelligence) and robots with the dexterity of a human will be developed before said manufacturing facilities could even be built.

Do you really think a corporation will pay a "highly skilled human" to do a job when it can buy a robot to do it 24 hrs/7 days a week for just the purchase price?

There's already speculation that AGI has been achieved and just not publicized. Originally Posted by 69in2it69

You're being had by techbro cultists to prop up their giant money sink.
Let's face it, this is the best hobby and the worst hobby. But in reality we are chasing a dream, the perfect fuck. Yes, I have had many satisfied dates, so those time $$$ or less was worth, the thrill, no regrets. But, I save my coins right now and enjoy, less expensive thrills. Am I missing out, sure, but you can't take ever joyride. Just tally up a years worth of play..it will make you enjoy other hobbies, Abita more. Party on gents. I am staying on the sidelines
As an older woman who's been in the business for a few years I just want to say the rate was 150 back in the day and the agency took 50 each time. I know ladies who did this back 30 years ago and they tell me it was always 150. Now I see 160 for hh, and 300 per hour. I seriously don't think that's too much to ask for a lady to pamper your body and make you feel wanted. Just my 2 cents Originally Posted by tantra tareesa

I can walk into an amp, slap $200 in their hand, wink and get better service by an “organization” with much higher overhead.
