He's still massively behind schedule and we're seeing more and more orders to repatriate wrongly deported folks

Sorry, Waco. We know what targets ICE was given by Homan for arrests. They're under that, by hundreds per month. We also know the targets he's used for deportations. They're deep underwater on those as well.

He's on pace to beat his own paltry first term but lag Obama's heyday by a good bit.

Can it change? Sure.

Until that happens I'm going to have fun laughing at his play to be 2nd best on his #1 promise.

If the numbers were good, they wouldn't be shaking up ICE leadership.

The numbers are way under 3k a day. Bigly

btw did any activist judges try to illegally rule against Obama or Clinton's deportations without due process?

of course not. and you know why.

Kenneth Genalo will no longer lead Enforcement and Removal Operations, the ICE branch tasked with carrying out arrests and deportations. Genalo, a longtime ICE official, is retiring and plans to advise agency leaders as a special government employee, officials said.

You can do the math yourself on Obama's per day rates. It's pretty easy.

As for Trump, he was struggling to hit the 1.5k a day target and now wants a 3k target on arrests. Problem... he isn't moving fast enough on deportations to be able to sustain that type of surge and won't have enough beds.

He was playing catch and release when he was lagging 1.2k per day.

You also should have kept reading. Twasn't the only personnel change

Trump is deporting about 575 people per day (being generous, I'm giving him the highest rate since he took office and not blending it) The stated goal is 1 million per year. If you feel the number is arbitrary, talk to Homan and Miller.

He's gotta get off his ass and pick up the pace bigly or he won't even match the Obama years. He was at about half the Obama rate last month. The overall. Not when Barry was really rocking and rolling

still waiting for those daily Obama numbers .. for the first 100 days.

Running 6.5 deportation flights a day isn't gonna cut it. Especially if those flights aren't full.

At $17k to $28k per flight hour, depending on using a typical chartered flight vs military plane, they need to be. Gotta get that bang for the buck.

CHNV can be ended. Now, many of those folks have one or more irons in the fire for other statuses. So I don't expect it to necessarily juice the numbers, especially if those with expiring temp status leave on their own accord.
If immigrants are such "freeloaders", why does every ICE raid happen at a place of employment, during business hours?

Rhetorical question, of course. Almost zero immigrants are "freeloaders".

Simply put: MAGA = MAWA.

Not every, but its definitely happening and its capture the low-hanging fruit instead of doing the harder work and focusing on the more hardened criminals

They need the numbers to justify the optics

I don't care if it's "low hanging fruit" or not. If they're here illegally they need to go.

If the goal is to deport all illegal immigrants than they were going to be caught sooner or later.
