In depth destruction of the entire lying narrative that the FBI had nothing to do with this.

Thanks to your link, I suspect that Trump might just have made the right decision, just like he did by commuting the sentence of Kodak Brown. Brown was serving a four year stint because he made a false statement to buy a firearm. And because he was black.
Your article provides examples of entrapment by the FBI using undercover agents and confidential informers. One of my favorites is the Liberty City Seven, a radical black religious movement. The FBI's confidential informant promised the leader of the group, Narseal Batiste, $50,000 to pledge a loyalty oath to Al Qaeda and surveil FBI field offices, and got him and other members of the group to discuss bombings and the like that they were totally incapable of executing. Kind of like the Whitmer kidnappers. One of the confidential informants in this case was paid $40,000 and another $80,000. And that was back in 2005 when a buck was worth something. So the informants had plenty of motivation to provide scalps for their FBI minders.
Another example was an environmentalist, Eric McDavid. The FBI set up a "honey trap," to get McDavid to plot to bomb a dam. The honey was Anna, who McDavid met at an anarchist meeting and fell in love with. Anna, a confidential informant, kindly provided McDavid and his buddies with a recipe to make bombs, a car, a cabin to stay in, and lots of crisp $100 bills.
The last time I read a link this long on the board was when Salty encouraged me to look at Revolver's coverage of Ray Epps. Well, surprise, surprise. Lantern, your article mentions Epps as well, to say that the FBI became so egregious in setting people up that many believed Epps was a confidential informant, who egged on the January 6 protestors. That's despite the allegations against Epps totally collapsing under scrutiny.
So there you go. Reason Magazine puts the Whitmer kidnappers in the same category as radical blacks and environmentalists entrapped by the FBI, and defends Ray Epps.
Trump probably has more appreciation for reform of the American judicial system in his second term, because of the butt fucking he took in New York courtrooms. I'd like to see him help more people like Kodak Brown. It's ridiculous that so many black men in America get locked up in prison and can't get good jobs because they have criminal records for nonviolent crimes.
