That's sounds logic until you realize how many Republican and Trump appointed judges there are who some might also call partisan. But that generalization is as irrelevant as your is at the end of the day.

I hope you aren't going to spin that Reagan, Bush and Trump judges that don't side with Trump's immigration arguments are somehow liberal partisans aligned with Dems

Don’t care who appointed the judges.

I do care that most of said judges aren’t acting in the best interest of the citizens. That includes validation via voting and polling.

In no world and in no western country does the quality of life improve for the citizens when the borders are left open and illegals are protected from deportation.

Trump 1.0 and Biden deported just as many folks. Trump 2.0 looks like he'll deport less than Obama.

Has Trump scaled up the immigration court side of the equation to help with his most significant bottleneck?

What branch do immigration judges fall under? Why aren't Trump and Bondi focusing on improving the throughput in a meaningful and legal way that would insulate them from the scrutiny the more fringe options provide?

Wouldn't that help mitigate due process concerns and remove some of the roadblocks in a way that would allow for quicker, more effective and easier deportations?

The MAGA cult is ridiculous. trump appoints the judge, judge upholds the law that trump is breaking... so, the judge isn't acting in society's best interests?

This is the same way you fumble with what are and aren't legal pathways and toss around blanket generalizations about gaming the system.

The biggest "fumbler" on this issue was Kamala Harris, who went off searching for "root causes" while the illegal hoards kept flooding in under Biden's unwatchful eyes. I'm not as upset with the illegals who game the system as I am with the folks who keep greasing the rules to make it easier for the illegals to game the system.


There is nothing wrong with someone on TPS pursuing an alternate legal path. It's kind of the point of they want to seek someone more permanent legally.

TPS is temporary. If they had a valid legal path to something more permanent, they should have pursued it in the first place. From their home countries, the way legal immigrants do.

Speaking of "nothing wrong"... is there anything wrong with this picture? Under Biden/Harris/Mayorkas, roughly THREE migrants entered the US illegally for every ONE migrant who came in legally and became a naturalized citizen.

Trump trying to use fringe arguments undermines the work he's trying to do. Which is what is giving folks legal grounds to pursue lawsuits that will slow down and block him.

I get that you want to derail, but if Trump really wanted this to go more smoothly he'd be hiring more immigration judges instead of focusing so heavily on ICE roundups. Focus on taking chunks out of those backlogged cases.

Supreme Court wouldn't have any issues with that. Most federal judges wouldn't either. Why isn't this in his budget? It would be the equivalent of the Iraq surge strategy.
