The Trumpster's deportations

Trump 1.0 and Biden deported just as many folks. Trump 2.0 looks like he'll deport less than Obama... Originally Posted by HDGristle

So if Trump's deportation numbers over the next 4 years lag behind Obama and/or Biden, that can be a result of his SUCCESS in securing the border. You insult our intelligence by portraying it as a failure, especially when we're only 130 days in.

If Biden let in as many as Trump claimed, then Trump should have plenty to deport.

We're evaluating Trump's millions and millions claim. He said he would do it. His stated goal is a million in a single year given the target deportations per day. He's not on track to hit a half million. Even Obama didn't hit a half million in a single year and he had one of the most effective systems thus far for interior enforcement.
Cmon Gristle.

One can’t believe Trumps deportations are due to strictly a lack of effectiveness of operational processes. The level of judiciary overreach is far and above what any President has ever had to endure.

The globalists have their agenda.

Who said strictly?

Priotizing the hiring of additional immigration judges is literally one thing he could tweak to grease his plan and improve his numbers and insulate his plans.

So Mr. Gristle, your game is to:

1) applaud all the lawsuits and sanctuary-city tricks that are gumming up the deportation process, and then

2) blast Trump and Homan for falling short of their stated deportation targets.

Did I get that right?

Your logical contradictions and hypocrisy embarrass me!!

No, Lusty. This was noted back in March

Trump’s big promise to launch a massive deportation campaign on Day One quickly ran up against personnel and resources challenges, limited detention capacity and a bogged down immigration court system.
They've focused on personnel to drive arrests and holding facilities to try to house those arrested... but they have failed bigly on the immigrstion court system. So they have tried to bypass that, but this is where they made their biggest mistake.

I have zero issues at all with those under a valid deportation order being deported. You get those by using the immigration court, which is under the exec branch. You take the teeth out of the lawsuits and reach of the judges you loathe by following the law.

You act like all of the delays in cranking up the Trump deportation machine are self-inflicted. They're not.

He has to overcome an unprecedented number of court challenges/injunctions. Which you support. Meanwhile, Tom Homan has to deal with passive (and even active) opposition from officials in dozens of so-called sanctuary cities. Which you wink at.

Plus we're only 130 days in. Have you looked to see how much funding (for ICE, border patrol, detention facilities and immigration courts) is included in that big, beautiful GOP bill that is working its way through Congress? Or did you expect Trump to usurp Congress and fund it all via executive order?

You strain credibility when you nitpick and criticize Trump's supposedly low deportation numbers after a mere 130 days in office. Anyone with eyes can see that he is facing intense & unprecedented opposition from the open-borders zealots. Who you applaud.

Amusing to watch you twist like a pretzel trying to deny the contradictory "logic" of your arguments.

Many, many of them are self-inflicted. Deliciously so

Why does Homan have to deal with Sanctuary cities but Obama didn't?

It's a smidge of a trick question. Obama early on went hard on the Bush-Era Secure Communities program. It was the zeal with which he used it that led to a lot of bipartisan criticism (Redhats say Obama bad) and the rise of sanctuary cities in his second term.

Don't much care one way or the other about the credibility jab or critiques of my logic. Those are like lint... or bottlecaps

Some fresh May data. Deportation flights increased and the number deported per day increased to 850.

Still lagging the goals, bigly.

Well, this reverse deportation of a Guatemalan sure is interesting.

Trump caved again. Kilmar will return to the U.S.

Now the caveat is that he'll face criminal charges, but that's what should have happened in the first place if there was a case to make.

We'll see how it unfolds.
