Early US assessment suggests strikes on Iran did not destroy nuclear sites, CNN reports

Without looking at this long ass thread, I would agree that donny assessment of "Totally Obliterated" if passive detectors would pick up signs of uranium in the air.

That information would be freely available via public channels. No need for mouth foaming rabid people pooh poohing about leaks.

So, anybody hear anything about air borne radiation detectors going off the scale?

The original report that the OP posted is accurate for the other plant ( Isfahan plant). The tunnel for that one has been accessed by workers. It's just a matter will the centrifuges work when the electricity is turned back on. Iran might be able to continue enriching but it will be quite a while before they can get to 90% if they still have any of the 60% enriched stockpile left. Most of the Centrifuges were in the Natanz plant (20,000 plus). No work will be going on there for quite some time.

@Ada, there were nuclear reactors on the site(s)?

According to the Wiki link the Fordo plant did not have a reactor, it was only to be used for research purposes. This was before Trump cancelled the agreement in 2017. No telling what they did after Trump cancelled the deal. It has been determined that they enriched all the way up to 60%.

From the Wiki

Reduction in the number of installed centrifuges from 19,000 to 6,104 and only 5,060 of these enriching uranium for 10 years.[5][19]
No enriched uranium above 3.67% purity (suitable for civil use and nuclear power generation only) for 15 years.
Reduce stockpile of enriched uranium from current 10,000 to not more than 300 kilograms 3.67 percent enrich uranium for 15 years.
For 15 years, Fordow uranium enrichment facility will operate not more than 1,000 centrifuges for research. 5,000 R-1 centrifuges will be running at Natanz. The remaining 13,000 centrifuges will be used as spare, as needed.

Allow inspection of all its nuclear facilities and its supply chains such as uranium mining sites .

New intelligence reports suggest that only one Iran nuke plant was destroyed by the bombings. The Fordo plant was severely damaged or destroyed. The other two plants, Isafahan and Natanz suffered only minor damage. The report is those two plants could resume enrichment activities in a few months. Looks like the Op's original report was accurate. Trump and his Defense Secretary misspoke.

President Trump has said time and time again, Iran will not have a nuclear weapon.
The Military has probably already got it planned out.
I do think he should inform the Senate Majority and Minority leaders, as well as the Speaker of the House and the House minority Leader.

The second go round will be more difficult. You can bet every news organization has a reporter camped out at our B-2 bases so they can see if any take off loaded.

Are you telling me me that Trump and his DUI hire might have declared victory before the votes were counted??? Not possible!

Hopefully Iran isn’t dumb enough to fuck with those two again and got the message that they ain’t making any nukes.

Of course, they could probably buy them. Maybe from Trump.
