Not really. But glad you think so.

I guess if you worked for Trump and figured out that he is clueless, he not only strips you of your secret service when you publicly divulge his incompetency but also sends the FBI to raid your house when you call him out for his ineptitude about this deal of the century... damn the geezer in Chief is quite the cunty old bitch when Bolton calls him out. Bolton is simply saying what any non-brainwashed clueless MAGA thinks but with more expertise and in stronger detail, so Trump harasses him at his house about possessing classified documents. Give me a fucking break.

"Russia has not changed its goal: drag Ukraine into a new Russian Empire," Bolton posted to his X account at 7:32 a.m. Eastern Daylight Time.

"Moscow has demanded that Ukraine cede territory it already holds and the remainder of Donetsk, which it has been unable to conquer," he continued, linking to an NPR interview he joined earlier in August. "Zelensky will never do so. Meanwhile, meetings will continue because Trump wants a Nobel Peace Prize, but I don't see these talks making any progress,"

What maggies don't realize is that putin is trying to be like the chinese premiere. He has made it a tacit point in not giving up any land. Anyone can read a paper to see that he is actively trying to take over disputed land, sea and airways. So, putin wants to return the boundaries of the old USSR/CCCP.

After getting to know and fully understand the Ukraine/Russia Military and Economic situation and, after seeing the Economic trouble it is causing Russia, I think Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is in a position to fight and WIN all of Ukraine back in its original form. With time, patience, and the financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original Borders from where this War started, is very much an option. Why not? Russia has been fighting aimlessly for three and a half years a War that should have taken a Real Military Power less than a week to win. This is not distinguishing Russia. In fact, it is very much making them look like “a paper tiger.” When the people living in Moscow, and all of the Great Cities, Towns, and Districts all throughout Russia, find out what is really going on with this War, the fact that it’s almost impossible for them to get Gasoline through the long lines that are being formed, and all of the other things that are taking place in their War Economy, where most of their money is being spent on fighting Ukraine, which has Great Spirit, and only getting better, Ukraine would be able to take back their Country in its original form and, who knows, maybe even go further than that! Putin and Russia are in BIG Economic trouble, and this is the time for Ukraine to act. In any event, I wish both Countries well. We will continue to supply weapons to NATO for NATO to do what they want with them. Good luck to all!

DONALD J. TRUMP, PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA

Ukraine's not going to push Russia back to its pre-2014 or pre-2022 borders. And the longer this drags on, the more lives will be lost. The damage to the economy of Ukraine is horrendous as well.

Fighting the war to the last Ukrainian is not a good option. Originally Posted by Tiny

Daily caller trying to help Trump in the continuing Ukraine/Russia saga and his campaign against China for importing Russian oil, but with quite misleading reporting.

https://dailycaller.com/2025/08/04/c...-russia-trump/
China relies almost exclusively on Russian and Iranian imports for its oil, with China receiving roughly 80% to 90% of Iranian oil exports while also importing over 1.3 million barrels a day from Moscow.
Actually China does not 'rely almost exclusively' on Russian and Iranian oil imports.

In August 2025, Russia accounted for approximately 17.7% of China's total crude oil imports
China imports roughly 15% of its total oil from Iran.

That would leave 67.3% of China oil imports from other than Russia and Iran.

That said, it would be a significant hit to Russia's economy if China dropped those imports to zero...a highly unlikely probability since Trump has pushed Russia and China closer together.

Here's a message received from a work colleague, who used to live and work in Russia, and who has a friend, Dmitry, who lives in Russia and who originally hailed from Donbas. His relatives still live there. I've edited to avoid outing him or me.

Dmitry's extended family, Aunts and Uncles and cousins live in ********* under the jack-boot of the Ukrainian Army and last time I heard feed-back about six months ago, they were fearing for their lives daily. Skin-heads patrol the streets and pistol whip any dissenters. They are afraid to speak Russian as they have a mixed Russian and Cossack heritage. (Dmitry's Mom and Dad live between Moscow and Novy Urengoy where they are rotational workers on ******* projects). Dmitry's aunt and uncles and cousins have been living in their respective basements for a few years now, one cousin died of a heart attack last year (only 40 years old). Dmitry was devastated, it's all very sad for Ukrainians to be thrust into a major war with one of the most effective armies historically and the west pouring weapons in, to 'save Ukraine just increases the misery of the people who can't do much as they don't live in a democracy as we understand it. Leaders don’t meet with other leaders without their diplomats first working out the agenda and trying to get some clarity or compromise first. That never happened under Biden or Trump.

Trump is too arrogant or too stupid or his diplomats too inexperienced to understand how the meeting with Putin would work out.

Well Trump might have finally realized that Putin was just buying for time to consolidate his gains and leading Trump down the primrose path.

Foggy Bottom's just not motivated to try to achieve clarity or compromise, as you put it, with Putin or Kim. Not only does the same sanctimony pervade the State Department as Biden's White House, but a lot of people at State, the Department of War and the intelligence services could find themselves without jobs if we got friendly with pariah countries.
Related to Trump's 'turnaround' on Ukraine?
Certainly a highly unusual occurrence...

War Secretary Pete Hegseth has reportedly issued a highly unusual order directing hundreds of the U.S. military's generals and admirals to assemble next week at a Marine Corps base in Virginia — on short notice and without explanation — a move that shocked military leaders.

The directive, sent earlier this week, requires virtually all top commanders worldwide — those holding the rank of brigadier general or higher, or their Navy equivalent, along with their senior enlisted advisers — to attend the meeting at Marine Corps Base Quantico next Tuesday, The Washington Post reported Thursday in an exclusive.

Even commanders in conflict zones and those stationed in Europe, the Middle East, and the Asia-Pacific region are expected to attend.
