Age Check

Seriously.....why feed the troll? I admit I did it earlier this week, but he's so damn easy. This guy is boring. He has so much wisdom about the hobby, he's so much more smarter than us. Yet, he asks the dumbest questions of us ladies.

Let the troll rant and rave, wave his hands around and continue to prove to everyone that he's someone who can't be trusted with any info.

He would make a decent lab rat for a paper though. Originally Posted by MsElena

I'm assuming the wise person is close to me?

Back to the question of the OP.

Sure you can ask to see an ID, I would imagine 99 out of 100 times you won't get to see one.

As was said before, if you have any doubt send them on their merry way.

Taking it a step further, I wouldn't even make arrangements for an encounter if their pics look too young.

This actually made me think of a ruse they sometimes use in Angeles City. Guys bring a bar girl to your room, she make a call on her cell, and soon there is a "friend" of hers is at the door. Guys of course are thinking 2 for 1. The friend goes to the bathroom and comes out topless, and suddenly the police are knocking at the door. Guess what - the friend is underage! Now you have a choice, either go to jail or take care of the "fine" with the officer right there.
Hahaha Seriously, y'all crack me up. I do love to laugh.

You would be correct, sorry about that.

But then again, who am I to talk? I have been here almost 2 years and have only 88 posts. The Jeffrey Dahmer wanna be has been here only a month and has made approximately 3X as many posts as I have! I really need to get a life. Originally Posted by nycalcharlie2003

@MsElena...now why would you insult a lab rat, by making that comparison, LOL
I hate to highjack this thread...but perhaps an interesting thought, is what does MsElena have against lab rats...wink!

In Internet slang, a troll is someone who posts inflammatory,[2] extraneous, or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum, chat room, or blog, with the primary intent of provoking readers into an emotional response[3] or of otherwise disrupting normal on-topic discussion.[4] The noun troll may refer to the provocative message itself, as in: "That was an excellent troll you posted".
While the word troll and its associated verb trolling are associated with Internet discourse, media attention in recent years has made such labels subjective, with trolling describing intentionally provocative actions and harassment outside of an online context. For example, mass media has used troll to describe "a person who defaces Internet tribute sites with the aim of causing grief to families."[5][6] The "trollface" (picture) has become a well-recognized icon of Internet trolling. It was drawn by deviantArt user Whynne.

Choice 2:
The verb troll originates from Old French troller, a hunting term. And currently a fishing term in this country.
Choice 3:
A troll is a supernatural being in Norse mythology and Scandinavian folklore. In origin, the term troll was a generally negative synonym for a jötunn (plural jötnar), a being in Norse mythology. In Old Norse sources, beings described as trolls dwell in isolated rocks, mountains, or caves, live together in small family units, and are rarely helpful to human beings.
Choice 4:
in Scandinavian folklore, trolls become defined as a particular type of being.[5] Numerous tales about trolls are recorded. in which they are frequently described as being extremely old, very strong, but slow and dim-witted, and are at times described as man-eaters and as turning to stone upon contact with sunlight.[6] However, trolls are also attested as looking much the same as human beings, without any particularly hideous appearance about them, but where they differ is in that they live far away from human habitation, and, unlike the and näck—who are attested as "solitary beings", trolls generally have "some form of social organization". Where they differ, Lindow adds, is that they are not Christian, and those that encounter them do not know them. Therefore trolls were in the end dangerous, regardless of how well they may get along with Christian society, and trolls display a habit of bergtagning ('kidnapping'; literally "mountain-taking") and overrunning a farm or estate.[7]
