A Game of Thrones ***SPOILERS*** read at own risk

How does this fit into the idea that he is supposed to be one of the three dragon riders? Originally Posted by SillyGirl

I thought Rich Man, Poor Man and Roots were pretty good series...ijs

Oh and North and South. Leslie-Anne Down was fucking hot in that one.

I've read the books as they've come out, and then re-read 1-4 when 5 was released. If you can find the time, you should read them again. I was amazed at how many details I missed the first time, and how much more everything made sense.

SPOILERS BELOW

If Jon's wounds were mortal, and it certainly looks like they were, I think Melisandre will bring him back. So who do you think his parents were? I reckon Lyanna Stark is his mother, but I'm confused about who his father is. Rhaegar Targaryen seems the obvious choice, but then why doesn't Jon have blonde hair? Could he actually be a Baratheon? The seed was strong, after all.

I think Arya will come back with Dany. I'm basing that only on gut feeling, but I think I'm looking forward more to the reading the reunion with Nymeria than anything else likely to come.

So did your breath catch in your throat a little bit when it looked like Tyrion was about to drown?
Sorry, I haven't made it all the way through DWD (A Dance with Dragons) - but thanks for the spoiler. Maybe obscure the spoiler as white text so you have to select the text with your mouse to see it, ijs. Yah, I know, I know - I didn't HAVE to read it, but damn! Oh well . . . I've reread all of them many time. I had an email address fir about five years name checking Arya, she is my favorite. I don't think he is lyannna's son at all. I think he is the baby that got smushed. He is dark because he is a Martel/Targaryen.

I will never cry over Tyrion, but I burst into tears for Jon. All of the cast for the show has taken over my mental pictures of the characters and I don't mind it in the least.

Sorry terrible errors in this, on iPad and rushing out the door.

No biggie. I really haven't found book five as engaging as the first four.

It appears that in cliffbeefcake, you've found someone to talk to . . .

You think Jon is Martel/Targaryen, eh? IIRC, Gregor boasted about killing the kids when the Lannisters sacked King's Landing. I can't see him keeping that kind of secret...he was a total prick. And it looks like he's back too. For the most part, I wish the dead characters would stay dead.

So if Jon isn't Lyanna's kid, what secret did she want Ned to keep?

As an aside to the original topic, I loved "Luck", so much so that I would watch each episode twice, once through and then again with captioning turned on . . . the dialogue was fucking amazing. I'm upset it was cancelled, but the ratings were lukewarm and going up against PETA after five horses died (over both seasons - two died in season 1 and three by the end of filming the second episode of season 2) . . . well, not many avenues to save the series were available. Y'all have convinced me to pick up the books tomorrow. I'm gonna hold off on checking out the series though until I've finished them. How many are there?
