Sixx, I hope you understand that this counselor was lying to you. HIV is, for the most, part transferred through bodily fluids, most commonly through blood and semen, with saliva being less common and far more rare. You can indeed contract HIV through oral sex or vaginal sex by coming in contact with infected blood or semen on or in a penis/vagina though an open wound in the mouth, or anywhere on your person for that matter. This not only includes obvious open sores, but though bleeding gums, etc. Lucky for us humans, a person's mouth is not a "friendly" environment for this virus and it reduces your chances greatly, but there's still always a chance. As a general rule, keep your bits away from blood and semen and you're relatively safe. In my opinion, not taking it up the ass or shooting any drugs recently is not a good reason enough reason not to get tested regularly.
I went to take a HIV/STD test least year and the obviously gay counselor literally said " do you shoot drugs or receive anal sex?"... I said "no" which is true and he said... "no need to take it as long as you answered truthfully".....
