If I know I am not up to seeing a person, I try to cancel with as much notice as possible and offer them extra time or a discount upon rescheduling. Sometimes that becomes problematical if time is short and I've developed a tummy ache, headache, gotten the curse back when she use to visit unexpectedly, or, in one case, the frigging stairs over my incall fell down during a construction accident. I posted about that and actually took a lot of heat for not crawling over the rubble to make it out to a motel. (Really, guys?) I ended up driving hours in a rainstorm another day to make it up to him AND gave him a big rate break.
I have apologized and given money back when I thought that things didn't go well and felt it was my fault, but that's relative and rare. Let's be fair on both sides. How many fellows have gone through with sessions KNOWING that they had a cold (and gave it to the lady), had been drinking too much, eaten a huge meal right beforehand, were too tired, too preoccupied with work or personal issues, were taking inhibitive medication, couldn't get fully "interested" as a result and then were ticked off when the provider, after trying her best to the point of exhaustion, couldn't raise the dead?
