they're mostly defeated in much of Syria. . they're there to prevent Turkey from screwing things up even more. Syrian govt. is kind of weak to push the Turks out. U.S. army is also occupying Syria's oil fields and have refused to relinquish it to either russia or to syria. At least, I think thats the reason.
but yeah, U.S. needs to get out.
