Sentencing was scheduled for March 19th. The case is still open and no additional notes have been entered to postpone sentencing. I'm assuming that it's over and they have yet to update the computer records. Anybody else know something?

Sentencing was rescheduled. I will preface this tidbit from the court's website with a "huh. PI has logged in since this happened, even though cuyahoga county would lead you to believe he's in jail. Make of that what you will. Perhaps they let him out when the check cleared. 2 years of probation with an employment proviso, the aforementioned 10k, and the first 30 in county.

Uh, he got busted, so, probably not the best teacher....

That said, for what I thought were significant charges, money laundering and all, I figured he would get worse, especially since the money laundered was from a crime itself.

In any case, I wish him good luck, nobody should be in jail for being involved in prostitution, fuck with your taxes, well, I don't like it, or them, but you take the chance.
His first vouch in jail is going to hurt.
PI's lawyer for the win:

5 days of 30 is a pretty good ratio, methinks.

I think it was going to cost to much to keep him locked up for the whole 30 days.

Those of you in Cleavland should be pissed. If you add up the costs over more than two years of the undercover investigation, the arrest, the prosecution and the incarceration to end up with $10,000 and 5 days in jail was a total waste of money. They accomplished nothing but wasting the taxpayers money. It is easy to see why the Feds stayed away from this.
