What White America Doesn't Want to Know

I can get behind this. I think it applies in most cases. I think that overt racism is less prevalent, but it takes other forms now. Originally Posted by WombRaider

Act like an adult with and quit giving these thugs a pass.

You go straight to the rioters and the people tearing things up, because it's easier for you to denigrate them and explain away why they aren't achieving anything. What about the people who do what they're supposed to do and because of race, don't achieve the same as a white person with equal credentials? Those are the cases that you can't simply explain away by claiming they're not productive members of society.

It's still an excuse. It may not be fair but nobody said life is fair. It sucks but you better find a way around it and keep working. Sitting back and whining gets you nowhere. I've lost jobs because I was white. Even though I was better qualified and submitted a better bid. I didn't get the contract because I wasn't a minority contractor. It sucks but there was nothing to do but go after the next job. I don't think you give employers in this country enough credit. Most are only after the color green and if a black is the person who can get them more of that then they get hired.
