Doofie, are you saying that we should ignore what Obama said because he deviated from his prepared, managed remarks? Actually, I think it is good when politicians of any ideology get away from the remarks prepared for them by their handlers. This way we get to see who they are. It would be refreshing if more of them had unfiltered moments of honesty. We might make better choices.

What an amazing conclusion, to say that we should only give weight to the words written by someone else, the words on the teleprompter, is absurd. Obviously, when Obama speaks without notes, or teleprompter, he is more likely to tell you what he really thinks. The times when Obama is most likely to reveal his socialist nature is when he speaks casually.
When Obama spoke to a small group in San Francisco, off teleprompter, he expressed his contempt for common people, that cling to their guns and religion. When Obama spoke to Joe the plumber, he said he wanted to spread the wealth around. It's only when Obama let's guard down, that we get a glimpse of who he really is, a socialist.
This is a perfect case of "pay no attention to the man behind the curtain."
