Trumps accomplishments:

While you will disagree his molding of the judicial system to a more centric right position that is constitutional based is probably the greatest thing done.

The creation of the Space Force to deal with China's and others threat in space is significant.

Tax reform helped corporations decide to increase job availability in the US instead of sending jobs overseas. It also provided more available capital to the average American.

The First Step Act which reformed the criminal justice system.

Defeating ISIS's caliphate and killing Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Before COVID the lowest unemployment numbers regardless of gender or ethnicity. (didn't handle COVID well in my opinion but he depended on the swamp experts in walking through it).

Made us energy independent.

Yes there were failures in the administration but there are in every administration. Biden has already cut jobs and the proposals that he has put forth will increase the federal debt at a greater rate than anything Trump did. His global position decreases our strength to protect ourselves and his immigrant policy is dangerous in that it allows illegal aliens to stream across the border unchecked and untested. Why give immigrants jobs and take away from Americans? Why give them health care when you don't provide it to all Americans? Why allow COVID infested people come across the border unchecked? THIS, so far is Biden's biggest failure IMHO.

There is no denying this: Trump was a terrible leader....and everybody knows it.
He divided the country. Terrible at consensus building. My way or the highway.
A complete inability to motivate unless using threats.

Probably employed more lawyers and filed more lawsuits than all the presidents before him...combined.

A terrible leader for the USA.

The country was divided before he became president. It was that division that allowed him to be elected. From the very beginning the Dems refused to accept that he won and from the very beginning tried to undermine him. If the same had happened to Clinton from the very beginning you would have been saying many of the same things.

[QUOTE=CryptKicker;1062363696]Trumps accomplishments:

the judges Trump nominated think that if only we could go back to 1789, we'd be great. is that what we need in 2021?

The creation of the Space Force to deal with China's and others threat in space is significant.

i have 3 problems with this:
1. is there any evidence that this is anything but a pipe dream? does DoD have any vehicles capable of flying 100,000+ feet above earth and any pilots trained to operate above 100k ft? seems like at a minimum, this should be some kind black ops collaboration with NASA.
2. the bigger problem i have with this is how trump, ever the big-mouthed braggart, had to run his mouth about establishing the space force. This is like President Truman bragging about the Manhattan Project. if trump wanted to set upa Space Force, he should not have said jack shit about it, he should have just done it quietly. let china find out about it after their radar picks up our armed space vehicles in outer space. the way trump handled that was dumb dumb dumb. watch, china will also be announcing their Space Force within a year or 2.
3. where are we going to find the money to pay for this? what, put it on our tab? that will work until the markets cut up our credit cards.

Tax reform helped corporations decide to increase job availability in the US instead of sending jobs overseas. It also provided more available capital to the average American.

trump's tax cut for billionaires and real estate magnates-yes he actually wrote tax policy to benefit himself!-absolutely decimated our almost balanced budget during one of our biggest boom times in the history of the U. S. it is borderline criminal what he did. 1 trillion deficit in 2019 under Obama vs. 3 trillion in 2021 under trump, in a better economy. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.for...han-obama/amp/

The First Step Act which reformed the criminal justice system.

i dont know much about this. what were the major policy improvements?

Defeating ISIS's caliphate and killing Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

what trump did in syria was borderline criminal. against the advice of his own defense secretary, he turned tail and ran from syria, leaving our greatest allies in the Middle East, the Kurds, to be slaughtered by the Turks. he did nothing to help the Kurds not be slaughtered. all he had to do was get on the phone with erdogan and tell him dont even think about attacking the kurds. and that was all because he wants a trump tower in ankara. what he did was heinous. he gave syria to the russians and the turks when we controlled almost half the country, and got exactly nothing in return.

Before COVID the lowest unemployment numbers regardless of gender or ethnicity. (didn't handle COVID well in my opinion but he depended on the swamp experts in walking through it).

thats like saying, "other than that Mrs. Lincoln, how did you enjoy the play?"

he had experts to listen to such as Dr. Fauci, but of course we know he knows way more than any experts. see e.g. lets try iv bleach and lysol for covid treatments..

Made us energy independent.
no we were energy independent before he came into office. i can give you the stats if you dont believe me.

Yes there were failures in the administration but there are in every administration. Biden has already cut jobs and the proposals that he has put forth will increase the federal debt at a greater rate than anything Trump did.

that may be necessary b/c trump's criminally negligent handling of covid put us into the worst shape since the real estate-triggered meltdown of 2009.

His global position decreases our strength to protect ourselves and his immigrant policy is dangerous in that it allows illegal aliens to stream across the border unchecked and untested.

we've had greater percentages of covid than mexico.

Why give immigrants jobs and take away from Americans? Why give them health care when you don't provide it to all Americans?
personally, i think those illegal aliens might be our solution to reshoring our manufacturing. since we stopped making stuff, our trade deficits are awful. the high cost of labor is why all of our manufacturers offshored, and immigrants are willing to work at rates that would make us competitive again.

Why allow COVID infested people come across the border unchecked? THIS, so far is Biden's biggest failure IMHO.
the u.s. has i think the 2nd highest incidence of covid in the world, after brazil. our ppl should be disallowed foregn travel lol without negative test results.

As I've said before pxmcc has deeply drank the left wing liberal socialist bullshit. Every single thing you spout comes from liberal left-wing leaning media. Not a bit of it is reported in that way by and centrist media outlet. You should become AOC's buttboy. You show all of the correct qualifications.

the problem as i see it for the Republican Party is that they are still married to Donald Trump. they had a chance to divorce him and move on, but they declined to take it. i think an unloosed and unhinged trump is quite capable of fracturing the republican party. Originally Posted by pxmcc

there are a couple of points i'd like to make:
1. i dont watch tv, so whatever left wing pundits are saying, i have no idea. i also dont do twitter or social media, so i have no idea what AOC is saying either.

2. if you think i borrowed my ideas from some left wing media, i would love if it you could point me to any specific source(s) where i got my ideas. it would need to be a written source, as that is the only media i consume (with the exception of news radio while driving.)

3. full disclosure of the "left wing" print media which i do read:
-ny times
-washington post
-new yorker
-the atlantic
-mother jones, occasionally
-huff post (but they went downhill after ariana huffington left).

"left wing" radio media i listen to:
-npr (88.7 in houston)
-kpft (90.1) in houston

as i've explained to boardman in another thread, i dont read anything to find out what to think; i read to ascertain facts and occasionally listen to what educated people have to say. but my opinions are thoroughly my own. how many libs do you hear harping on the trade deficit and the importance of American manufacturing for America's future?

back on topic. personally, i think trump's aquittal is a huge gift to the dems. to think McCarthy thinks trump will help out in 2022 is just hilarious. trump does absolutely nothing unless there is a direct benefit to him personally. he'll throw the Republican Party under the bus without a 2nd thought if the Repub party isnt helpful to trump personally from trump's perspective. he's not a team player in any way, shape, or form.

Yup! He just proved my point. There is no independent thought for pxmcc. He repeats the liberal left talking points. There is nothing original in what he says. Nothing centric either. And it's not disrespect to point out the obvious without insults.

If pxmcc was even vaguely original in his posts I would give him some credit but everything he posts are exactly the talking points of the liberal media outlets he posted about.
