Can't wait to see banned under your name.

And at least one other infamously nefarious gent that I'm aware of is apparently using the same misleading ruse despite the new guideline instituted in December and posted under forum announcements:

Custom User Title Notification
Custom User Titles may be modified from their generic usergroup-defined title to allow for individual expression. Obviously we do not allow anything related to the prohibited topics to be used or implied in the User Title. Additionally, you may not use descriptions of other usergroups in your custom title. Example: A male handle may not use "Verified Provider". Staff titles such as "Administrator" or "Super Moderator" are also not to be used. Finally, titles such as "BANNED" or "Account Disabled" are not permitted.

If you have used any of these, or variations of such, please change your Custom User Title to an acceptable choice now. Beginning Sunday, December 17, 2017, when staff encounters a violation of the guidelines regarding your Custom User Title, it will be changed for you by staff to the generic usergroup title and your ability to update it yourself will be revoked. Anyone whose user title privileges have been revoked may still update the title, however they will need to request staff assistance to make the change.

Thanks!

If someone is booted off ECCIE, doesn't that equate to he/she having ZERO member access to ANY part of the board, or has there been a significant change? If nothing's been altered, has something been going on that we weren't aware of publicly before?

Or are some peeps still just playing games and not been caught and chastised for cheating yet?

Carry on. I must go entertain. Cheerio.

if B2HH isnt banned, we'd know about it real fast. Darth Maul posted a rhetorical question in a thread that explains the reason for the ban. for the record, b2hh is, indeed, quite banned. when a Supreme Directive is issued, leeway is, just to be clear, quite narrow. that's why i stayed on the other side of the planet from B2HH (metaphorically speaking)..

(in other words if your home computer had it's IP blocked, your cell phone out in the car away from your home computer would work to at least visit the site)

One thing we did is if someone registered with an obvious name that mocked another (Fancyinheels would be something like Fancyinheals) we would automatically perma-ban them and delete all their postings. We didn't have time for childish and immature games.

It just all depends on what the board owners decide to do.

I object to this in THE STRONGEST terms!
A "ban" should mean a complete and total embargo from anything to do with the board! If not, if someone is on, say, just a thread-starting suspension, there should be more user titles to indicate status other than an all-encompassing "BANNED," which is confusing and even deceptive. If penalized members still retain even a minimal board privilege, they are most certainly NOT banned, just limited. I would be thoroughly startled to get a PM from a "banned" individual. Perhaps there should be a "RESTRICTED" title? Are the varying degrees of bancation discussed somewhere in the guidelines or in a previous announcement and somehow I managed to miss it? I'm sure this is going to surprise more members than just me.
Thank you for the info, DJ. Very enlightening, and disturbing.
