What's Bad About a House-to-House Search?

What you described is considered in legal terminology as "exigent circumstances," and historically the SCOTUS has factored the gravity of the offense and of the potential for harm to the community when considering what is reasonable in the context of those circumstances .. and the "reasonableness" is for the Court to decide not the media, twitters, bloggers, posters, and rumor mongerers.... based on the known facts AT THE TIME OF THE DECISION ... and not on "Monday morning."

The only possible reason why one would want to believe, and/or attempt to demonstrate, that the bombs were set off INSIDE the building is to exonerate the two terrorists who are seen with bags OUTSIDE of the building..... and therefore ...

the "house-to-house" search for the "innocent child" was unnecessary and unreasonable!

In other words .. defending the terrorists. Originally Posted by LexusLover

Oh, and does everyone remember Oklahoma City being locked down after the bombing of the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building and the police there conducting house to house searches while looking for Timothy McVeigh, Terry Nichols, and others? No? That's because it didn't happen.

Personally, I don't recall a carjacking, kidnapping, cop killing, gun battle, pursuit with a running gun battle and bomb throwing, and followed by a "stand off" gun battle with aggravated assault against LE with the stolen vehicle and a "bail out" of a second suspect who fled into a neighborhood in the middle of the night.

Do you?

And I forgot to add that apparently LE had good reason to believe these guys were on their way to another bombing in NY .... (in fact NYPD was pissed that the Feds didn't notify them!).
