Trump's red line

And we've seen SEVERAL times where North Korea has bombarded islands with SOUTH koreans and others living on it.. Torpedoing a South korean ship, and many other things...
So how long will we LET HIM provoke us before actually striking back?
OR are we to, as WTF and others want, just keep on caving INTO this bully, and 'negotiate (mean give him shit)"?? Originally Posted by garhkal

Name another author who pretends to relate the *true history* of WWII's Pacific War who doesn't mention Japan's imperialistic expansion into China, SE Asia, the Rape of Nanking and the unprovoked Japanese attack on Pearl harbor and the Philippines, but goes overboard declaiming the U.S. use of the atomic bombs as nothing more than naked American imperialism. Few people realize that it was oil — the shortage of oil — that precipitated the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941.
Tensions between the United States and Japan were rising throughout that fateful year. Having initiated a war with China (America’s ally) and occupied Indochina, Japan’s totalitarian government was intent on imposing its will on all of the people of East Asia.

“China should also make clear that if North Korea launches missiles that threaten U.S. soil first and the U.S. retaliates, China will stay neutral,” it added. “If the U.S. and South Korea carry out strikes and try to overthrow the North Korean regime and change the political pattern of the Korean Peninsula, China will prevent them from doing so.”

Hey eccieuser9500, none of your links have anything to do with Chomsky. Or "Trump's red line". If you want to converse intelligently here, try to stay on topic. Originally Posted by lustylad

Trump has now redrawn the red line in the sand back to where it originally was.....basically if you attack us...we will bomb the fuck out of you.

So this is much ado about nothing. Trump trying to get his poll numbers up.

There will be behind the scenes deals to make all parties look strong in their respective countries.

Trump is playing his base.

Except North Korea will simply continue with their programs, (just like they have for the past 50 years), and in the future, probably within five years, they will have Thermonuclear Device, probably at least 1 megaton. And since there are those in the world to help them, (money), they will probably have a ballistic missle with enough thrust and a sophisticate enough guidance system to plant it any where on the Planet.

Keep in mind, the key to building a Thermonuclear Bomb is a Fission Bomb Trigger. (You need the temperature). They already have that, since it is much easier to refine the Isotopes of Hydrogen than it is to refine Uranium 235 or Plutonium, a Thermonuclear Bomb requires just the willingness to build it. The technology is pretty common.

If you disagree with this, give me the reason why. Is there anything that anybody is willing to do different than they have for the past 50 years to keep this North Korean Thugocracy from doing exactly what they have been doing?

That is, aside from making North Korea uninhabitable.

... the Soviets had a large, heavy tank presence along the Eastern front to Europe and their philosophy was the acceptance of a certain % of mechanized losses in a confrontation at the border. The overall plan in the Gulf War was the blue print of the European "defense" with the offensive movement of the Allies. It is my belief that the accuracy of the missile systems in effect a "one-on-one" strike, and personal and direct, as opposed to "nearby," the shock effect to a commander on the ground was demoralizing to the Soviet rank and file commanders. It was no longer them being a % ... it gave the appearance of a missile with their name on it. Our technology shocked and the military lost confidence in their government.

That's why they are trying to trade to get rid of the missile defense, because it neutralizes their leverage to a degree, but if there is a massive response to weapon systems aimed at South Korean, which marginalizes the effect on S.K., if not eliminate it, it may put the little fat boy in jeopardy ... it'll sure cut off his nuts and seal his lips. Think Gaddafi when Reagan reached out and touched his home ... he was like a mouse peeing on cotton after that ... and after he saw Iraq he gave up his shit to Bush II.
