Star Wars , Bond, Moby Dick and other holiday Blockbusters

Concussion was a good movie. Will Smith heads into "Pursuit of happyness territory" instead of poverty though, it's the negligence of the NFL he is trying to overcome. the film never feels draggy and is engrossing, moving and entertaining. There is also a terrific supporting cast, consisting of Alec Baldwin, Albert Brooks, GuGu Mbatha raw and luke wilson ( as shit head NFL commissioner Roger Goodell) Concussion is thought provoking and a must see movie of the year. Money dick is alright - it's draggy at the end

New Steve Jobs movie was good, but it's more focused towards his daughter(Lisa) relationship, like 75% Lisa, 25% Apple

The Hateful 8 is not worth watching much less in 70mm of whatever that shit is.

You saw it?? That's upsetting to hear still seeing it in Saturday - It's new Tarantino and he's my favorite director.

I watched the screener. A lot of the movie is drawn out. Only visuals you're going to get for that Ultra 70 is useless shots of wagons going down a trail. It's like looking at those gifs and waiting for something to happen until you realize nothing is going to happen. Even for a QT film it was way over the top for a bunch of useless ways of saying "fuck" and "n1gg3r". Only parts of the movie I can say I enjoyed was Kurt Russell and Jennifer Jason Leigh.

If you love QT you'll be disappointed by this one. This is a very generic plot. No zinger, no QT twist, just really really basic. Did you know there was a connection to Inglorious Basterds? It's fucking small and not even worth mentioning on what it is.

Oh , I'll keep my eyes peeled. Funny you mention that about the shots. The digital release is shorter , he said some shots don't work and are specific for the larger film format. So he trimmed the film. I read one review that says the "experience" is worth it and not worth. While its looks great and it's cool to experience the the overture and the intermission, the movie is padded and seems like it was stretched so he could give us his experience.

You know I was wondering if there was really an intermission because it's stated in the narrative when a new chapter starts.

I wouldn't think there is an intermission, probably just the word written out at most for five seconds. What's the big deal about 70mm, why should I be excited to see it?
