Steelers 2024 thread

You didn’t mention Brady. On to LA. Go Justin. Could be a tie breaker for the playoffs Originally Posted by bambino

Well, they’re 3/0. Best game so far. It’s clear Fields is now the starter. He played well and is clearly the future QB. Dominance on D. That’s how they’re going to play.

BTW, Zack Frazier is dominant. He is so good.
Excellent coaching by Tomlin today. He has his defense playing lights out. Fields is looking good so far. Calvin Austin showing the speed they touted when they signed him. Can't be any better than 3-0 after 3 weeks.
We might just have something here. In both Fields and the defense. He’s not great….but he’s pretty good and we pay him about $48 million less than most good teams pay their QB, which frees up money for other positions.
Injuries always plays a huge factor. Not sure why we’re playing Warren when he’s obviously hurt. Did the same to Fontano and now he’s out for year.

Broderick pancaking Bosa. He didn’t last the whole game.

The Steelers are physical on both sides of the ball now. Fun to watch.

I think Smith is the perfect fit for the Steelers. He wants to play physical football first, but he’s incrementally bringing Fields along. They attacked the middle of the field successfully yesterday. I think better things are coming. He’s been good at scheming receivers open.
I’m not a huge Najee fan but he is definitely fighting for a contract…which is a good thing.
If our D stays healthy, they will be incredible! Watt, Highsmith, Herbig, Cam, Porter, Minkah, Queen is a damn good core.

Najee has been running hard, playing hurt, and for two years playing behind a weak line. And poor QB play. But he’s the only back in the NFL with 3 consecutive seasons over 1000yrds. He’s been a solid, dependable player. Not a superstar. I’ll take him on my team any day.

He wouldn’t have been there in the 3rd. He’s clearly not a bust. Far better than Pickett, Bush, Edwards, Burns etc. he’ll be playing in league somewhere for a few more years. If not for the Steelers.

Back to smash mouth football. Love it. Keeps that defense fresh.
