Not all of them. The basic Presidential approval poll goes back as far as Harry Truman and the question is the same - "do you approve or disapprove of the President's overall performance?"

Everyone knows that. In 1948 Gallup quit polling 2 weeks prior to the election with 14% of the electorate still undecided. They learned a lot from that famous mistake. Polls have become more accurate since then. Oh wait, I already said that!
