It's the OG IMAX before IMAX was IMAX. Widescreen with a lot of scenery in it more or less.

I heard the intermission is about 10 - 15 minutes but it's only in the film version. Not the digital copies. The 70mm is a bigger film stock so the image is larger and more detailed - kinda similar to see an IMAX movie.

Saw Hateful eight in 70mm today. the film looked great and was a bit different from the hi-def image i have come to known. It was cool to hear the overture and have an intermission midway through the film.

The actual movie - The movie is good, but the first half was alot of talking and kind of boring. the 2nd half is were it picks up and gets really good. I just wish there had been more action in the first half of the film .

After seeing hateful eight, we stayed to view Daddy's home. Funny for the most part, but stupid as well. Some jokes are good, other fall terribly flat. Mark Wahlberg steals the show, with some fine tuning this could have been a much better movie.

I think Will Ferrell has been trying to play it safe by working with other actors he worked with in the past on movies that audiences enjoyed. Get Hard was a blatant rip off of Big Stan though.

Haven't seen daddy's home, so don't spoil it for me.

I never saw Big Stan.

I just thought with some fine tuning Daddy's home could have been a lot better.

Big Stan was way funnier than Go Hard.

Point Break looked really good but suffered from usual remake problems like unnecessary story expansions and over complication of the original story - also lack of fire. Edgar Ramierez is decent as Bodhi but Luke Bracey falls flat as Keanu. Teresa Palmer who is incredibly sexy and has been blessed with a huge post pregnancy rack , as none of the feistiness of Lori Petty nor does Ray Winstone as Pappas(which almost seems like he was thrown in for fan service.) the film does look good though and the 3D was good too. But it lacked the warmth and personality of the original.
Point Break wasn't that all that for me. I guess I watched too many previews so a lot of the stunts were shown.

that's why i now try to avoid the red band or extended trailers, you end up seeing everything. I guess im getting older, but i like some mystery in my movies now. I no longer understand the desire to know everything about a movie before it comes out. Like all the fans trying to get star wars spoilers?? See whats in the movie, don;t read it on a website.

I;m also not liking this growing trend of putting spoilers in sig lines or answering someones questions by ruining the movie.

"Is so and so any good??"
"Yeah, i had no idea they were the bad guy the entire time."

That guy just likes to do that. It's his thing I guess, if you see him post take it as a spoiler warning. Or place him on ignore and if folks don't quote him problem solved.

A rule of thumb I use is if the trailer looks like shit the movie might be worth watching and if the trailer looks awesome then the movie will probably be shit.
