"Eccie General conduct Guidelines". I read them again Spacemtn., and my copy still says " #1... Avoid cases of unprovoked rudeness ( such as calling a provider a manhater?) to others. No place for it here". #3 "Disrespect for others in General will be considered a item of low tolerance, especially when posting in Co-ed Forums." "This applies to using personal attacks or vulgar slang terms to describe fellow members". Now I know that many people have crossed these lines, and I know ya'll have a difficult job, but it don't look good when somebody that has personal association with numerous mods starts a thread that shows he can do what he wants, baits one or two people into getting banned, and has really nothing to say except that he can pretty much do what he wants. I am starting to feel a little embarassed for you guys.

Oralick,

Where in the rules does it state that it's against the rules to come off arrogant? Saying one can do anything they want does not violate a guideline. I know you don't care for myself or Whispers opinions but to come off like Yssup is some ionnocent person in all this shows some bias.

We all know the rules and much tolerance isgiven. Sooner or later the crack is going to be whiiped so to speak. I know when I blatantly break the rules. Hell, I even RTM'd my own post once. Many hobbyists and providers have met each other. That does not mean there is bias one way or the other. I have had many drinks with hobbyists and non BcD with providers. I still say what I am going to say regardless. I expect the mods to punish me like they would anyone else if my actions warrant it.....

I get that you want a "nice" place to...I don't know, talk to providers. I think you often forget that this board's primary purpose for users is information exchange. When you start picking on words like manhater as a violation of the guidelines you've quoted, you start filtering members from exchanging relevant information. Manhater can be a completely valid description of someone's attitude in the hobby whether we're talking about a man, woman or Puddles. Next thing you know, it's not just manhater, but words like mechanical, jaded, old, chubby, etc.. are considered "rude". When you start censoring members from the primary objective of this board, information exchange, the primary objective of this board for the owners, making money, comes into jeopardy.

If you start shutting down things at first sign of perceived rudeness, you will eventually shut everyone down, and there will be an oppressive cloud over everyone trying to share information from fear of appearing rude.

Secondly, I have personal associations with lots of folks here. In fact the last 3 people I banned were people I had personal associations with, one of which was VERY personal but the rules were violated and the ban had to be issued. I do not shirk the duty no matter who or whom it might be.

Finally, since you brought up the guidelines, you might want to read them a little more closely because you missed a very important one. Let me give you a little help:

#3 - Disrespect to others, IN GENERAL, will be considered an item of low tolerance, especially when posting in our coed forums. Follow the Golden Rule and treat others as you wish to be treated yourself. This applies to fellow members as well as staff. We do not require that you have respect for us, but we do require that you treat us respectfully in the public forums. If you feel the need to vent, gripe, or blow off some steam regarding a staff member's action or decision, we ask that you keep it private. Email, RTM, or the PM system would be the appropriate avenue to take in such cases. In cases where you would like to request additional clarity about a staff decision, you are free to pursue an answer in either a public forum or private means of communication. If handled publicly, post your inquiry in a respectful manner.

Since you seem so bent on making sure that I do my job, consider yourself warned regarding your treatment of staff!

OK. I did read all of the rule, and as I stated "I know ya'll have a difficult job". But I was just putting a perspective out there that you may not have thought about. I don't believe I said I knew that was exactly what was happening. All I said was it could be perceived that way by members of this board. Something you shouldn't want happening. I didn't call you any names. I don't see that I disrespected you in any way. That was not my intention.

Oralick,

Not picking on you but since you are putting yourself out there, I am going to respond. Back wo when I was a mod there were complaints of whispers getting away with shit. There were claims of bias towards of him from me, etc. It's no secret we are friends and someone I consider a friend outside of here. I don't give a shit, I am friends with who I want, etc. We are all grown adults and can associate with who we want, mods included. What is great about my friendships with mods, members, providers is that we will call each other out when needed too.

There will always be complaints of alleged bias towards certain members. That is almost always the case with members like myself, whispers, hell even yssup.

You could replace all the Austin staff and your complaint would once again surface. Join in on the fun man....

You are intelligent enough to know that is the lowest of the low in this business, that it takes away the illusion that is so important to so many. As far as a "nice" place to talk to the ladies, that would be nice, but it should also stir things up some to keep it interesting. But, in my opinion, it does not need to be a place to beat-up on providers. We have the Men's Lounge, and I guess a Spider hole, for people who want to do that. IMHO

Mods work hard no doubt. For this rule that was quoted the bolded part gets ignored by the general public .. a LOT. maybe the 'golden rule' part needs to be edited in the future because if that is true, some people on here like to be treated like shit.

No matter which way we Moderate, it can be perceived that we need to go the other way. It just so happens that I am also "friends" with Taylor/Hunter and Wicked Milf (who, in case you have been under a rock for the past few years are polar opposite from Whispers in all things!) That does not change the way that we apply the rules, nor will it ever change that at times there will be just as many that disagree with our Moderating decisions as agree with them.

Whether I want this to happen or not, the fact of the matter is that it is going to happen because we all have our own opinions as to how things should be done. I don't make Moderating decisions by trying to decide who will and will not agree with them. I make them based on our (local Staff) interpretation of the Guidelines from the owners and sometimes with input from the ECCIE Staff as a whole.

I have been Moderating the Austin Forums for over a year now. Why would you think that I would have not have thought about what others might think based on decisions that were made? I welcome feedback. No one is ever always right. But there is a right way and a wrong way to offer feedback and "schooling" any of the Staff on the Guidelines in an open Forum is not the way to go about it.

I was only replying to your open post that told me to read the guideline/rules. It was not intended to "call you out". I am sorry you took it that way. As I stated earlier, I am just trying to learn how to navigate around on this board.

Maybe, if I change my Avatar, everyone can find that happy place. Oh No, that sounds as conceited as you know who!

I am curious to know what transpired that led to SUP being banned so that I too don't suffer the same consequences. This banning business is something I am having a great deal of trouble understanding. I see some people seek unprovoked verbal attacks on providers here, as I pointed out, seemingly without any moderation that is obvious on the board. It appears that some people can accuse past moderators of succumbing to sexual favors from a provider, which could cast doubts on the ethics of other moderators, particularly if one person, who constantly touts he provides "side benefits", acts as if he is "bullet-proof" in regards to his actions on this board. I have been reading, and often enjoying, the postings on these boards for about a year, and IMHO Yssup is one of the funniest and fairest posters you have.I really think you have done a great job, overall. But please don't let one "Man Who Would Be King" and his henchmen turn it into a memory, like ASPD. I'm sure I have broken some rule, and await your response. Originally Posted by oralick

"Side Benefits"? I assume you are referring to my willingness to introduce guys to ladies I know..... Well.. networking is what this board is about and some people 've known for years.... I've had drinks, dinners and seen several ladies that Ztonk has seen long before he became a MOD.... Space and I have totally different taste in women....... Sixx was too cheap to partake in a couple of ladies I offered to introduce him to (How do I argue with a guy that can get laid for $20-$40?) and Vyt also has different tastes...... CupofJava was introduced to a lady wanting into the business at a Luncheon well over a year ago.....

About another 20 guys I've met have also benefited from luncheons and networking..... And I have benefited from knowing them as well.....

If you want to add to your conspiracy theory why don't you throw the owners and a former Admin in the mix..... They've been to the Luncheons as well......

I am a social individual and have been to many luncheons, dinners and parties..... I have put together many of those events as well...... There are people here in Austin that were at the same parties i was 8-9 years ago in Houston.....

I get PMs from guys and spontaneously post where some of us are going and small groups get together from time to time....

So YES... A lot of us know each other.....

But I get warned, pointed and banned like anyone else..... Far more on ECCIE than I have been on any other board.....

Then we all get together.. have a couple of beers and laugh about it because...well.... because the shit on the board can be left on the board..... too many of you folks really need a life outside of the internet.....

As to accusing people of getting sexual favors...... 90% of that is pure shit giving a buddy a hard time..... has it happened? Of Course..... Have some MODs over the years abused the position?.... of course.....

but the current crop of guys in place are solid....

I think what some people don't see that IS different about the current crop of MODS are that the are all hard core hobbyists..... they all spend their money...... Any one of them probably has logged more sessions then the last crop of Pussy Whipped guys that catered to the ladies on ASPD combined......

So they relate better to other hobbyists..... They understand the purpose of the board..... They contribute to the information we all use as well....

In any business or social setting do the players that bring the most to the table get cut some slack at times? Do they get a perk here and there? Yeah..... Do I get cut some slack at times?.... I probably do...... Right up until I cross over a line or refuse to listen to one of them when they tell me to stop.

But in referring to a certain provider as a "man hater"..... Well..... 5 handle changes over the years and her own personality earned her that reputation long before you read me mention it here....

It's not any different than one of the ladies referring to me as an asshole.... I have been and will be one at times.... Unfortunately the only place I can call her what I really think she is would be the SpiderHole....

Grow up quit whining like a little boy and instead of complaining about all the popular kids always having fun get off your fat ass and join them.... You'll find they are very welcoming.
