a music thread for a break. post away.

Just listened to Chuck Berry above.

One of my all time favourite tracks is his 'You are my sunshine' he is one of the very rare performers who actually understands what that song is about. On his Chess album, i think (I have it somewhere) but you will have trouble finding it on the web.

I tell a lie. There has been a recent upload.

I also need to hook my PC up to my speakers (built about the same time, I have two pairs now, floor shaking transmission line systems).

The CB song is part of my life - I played it over and over after my first love. I still get shivers when I hear it. Maybe I will cross reference to the first love thread. It is so emotional, yet played with such precision. No misplaced sloppy romanticism.

Art turns around. I play it now, in different ways, for my gf, I sing the song to her from across the sea.
Esse you need to be schooled in some Texas Country. Which do you like better? there is no wrong answer.

David Bromberg, Iffy? He's been a favorite for years! Whenever I mention him to anyone, the response is always the same, "Huh?"

Great to meet another fan!

its a french progressive metal band that sings their songs in english. They are the heirs to dream theater, even though dream theater is reigning strong as the kings of prog metal.

I've been listening to this band for a while now, and they've got a new album coming out which I'm going to eagerly rip off the internet :P
Honestley I heard him on our local NPR affiliate KPFT tonight. When I hear something I like I always check it out. I have listened to the Main Street Moan 10 times tonight. I like this dude. He played with all the big timers...snick and snork can suck air..... then each other...

I have been a huge fan of his for 35 years. You need to look up his stuff. He does everything well. A couple of favorites are "Mrs. Delion's Lament" and "Somebody Else's Blues." But I can't think of anything he's done I haven't liked.
