I still go back on what Judge Nepolitono stated. This was two separate events.
The first was when Zimmerman first confronted Martin. We really do not know exactly what transpired, except for sworn testimony stating that Martin made racist remarks about a guy following him. There will be testimony from the 911 operator, but that does not tell us about the actual event.
The second is when Zimmerman started back to his truck, and Martin decided to then pursue him. The photos and testimony say that Martin jumped Zimmereman, and was indeed doing a beat down on him.
The defense will contend that the shooting had nothing to do with the first event, but everything to do with the second. The law states that a person can use deadly force if he fears for bodily harm or death.
This jury surely is not stupid. They have sworn testimony, (what we have all been waiting for), that says that there is way more than "a reasonable doubt" to justify a not guilty verdict.
I wonder who will get "the brick upside the head", ala the Rodney King riots. If a verdict of not guilty comes down, I damned sure would not be driving a open side truck down the street.
