That wasn't Negan. Unless it veers off severely from the comic. If it follows the comic, which this last episode did for the most part, Negan controls a whole "town" and other "towns" have to pay him tribute and give up a percentage of everything they grow or find. In the comics, he says "fuck" just about every other word and he burns half of his people's faces if they don't like him fucking their wives, so it's safe to assume they'll tone him down a bit for TV.

Yes, agreed. If this was a HBO or Showtime production, the writers would have a great deal more "latitude" with Negan's character (and his particular "vocabulary"). I do like the way his name was introduced to the group (albeit only to three of our heroes). And ya gotta love how Daryl blew the crap outa that biker roadblock though, huh? Nothing like military-grade weaponry to tilt the playing field......
looking ahead, if.....IF the writers do go along with the comic's storyline, there's gonna be a lotta disappointed / shocked fans of the tv series once our group is fully engaged with this badass MoFo....no spoilers here, but it's about to get really, really hairy, campers.
Rick let his guard down with The Governor and it got a lotta people killed.....maybe he won't make that same mistake with Negan.
