No doubt. I try not to get my panties in a bunch over closed threads, but when did "both sides had their say" become a rationale for closing one? Originally Posted by Doove

This is late news, but worth the bump, as an example of an ounce of antidote equals a pound of cure. Went on way too long by folks that know better.

I am sickened and ashamed that I somehow got involved in both of those. Its a side effect of having a sexual addiction problem I'm sure of it. I'll have to read over Bill Clinton's sworn testimony to be absolutely certain, but it must be a symptom of sex addiction.

And sometimes, god forbid, we lighten up a little. (Isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?) Come on.... if the original "alert" wasn't so goddamned funny! (No offense to the OP. A tractor sale should not delay a scheduled appointment. That was just rude.) The other alert you mentioned I'm sure didn't start out as silly, but its origin escapes me until I re-read it. But still...

While one of Rooster's pet peeves (one I have already stated is admirable) it didn't violate any rules -and that violating them would result in an instant mini ban. (If I am wrong, I trust someone will correct me.)

Mods are people too.... with all our failings of course. His buttons were pushed, and it seems some think he overreacted. Its been dealt with as near as I can tell. I don't have a beef with him at all. But I'm not gonna feel too badly he flipped and got spanked. Its good they're held to the same standards as we are... and in theory, as they have "power" over us, ought to be held to higher standards.

If most of us (I say that cuz of course I don't know for sure) did something like that, in a PM and it was reported, we'd be spanked. That there are members standing up on both sides and having a conversation about it isn't all bad. That there are some that publicly voice support for him proves he wasn't the worst mod to ever take the post.

With all that said, I am sorry things ended up the way they did. I may poke fun, I may type a novel occasionally, I may even argue incessantly with BJ.... but I certainly didn't see how this was going to evolve. Did I expect Roost to get pissed, perhaps cut and paste an old lecture about the proper use of alerts, and close the thread? Yes. Immature I know, but its fun to see how much you can get away with when the teacher isn't looking.

If I deserve to be pointed for it, your right then, most likely I knew I pushed the line. But this one came outta left field.

If you manage a restaurant and get a three day weekend and no one takes out the trash while you are off it's righteous to come back and flip. I don't know if this trash can was all on Rooster, or he didn't set up coverage, or his cohorts dropped the ball.

For the life of me I cannot figure out the upside to having to take this trash out. Why Moderate?

If there isn't such a thing as free pussy, then they must get one hell of a discount!

You are correct of course JC IMO has any others from that exclusive club chimed in, or is that considered in bad taste? For all I know, they divy up the areas to babysit and that was Roosters. Maybe he didn't arrange coverage?

Or maybe they get a kick when he returns and has to clean his house after the damn kids have a 3 day party while he was outta town. Hmmm maybe more likely they were all outta town? At a Mod Hook Appreciation Event and he was in so deep he forgot to check in on the store?

Everyone gets their panties bunched up and feels the need to vent at times (I do) as long as it doesn't violate a nuclear rule, so what? It'll die out on its own. Jeez if ya can't vent here a bit... where can ya? Go overboard ya get pointed out. And rightly so.

That non-review is a clusterfuck. One if the unfortunate by-products to our non-closure revolt has been several 'bad hair day' threads. I've been a part of some, but these two take the cake of late.

I DID NOT close this thread. I was actually enjoying it and no rules were broken as far as I could tell. Maybe a few hurt feelings. but oh well.

What prompted me to save this wet-dream non-review was DD's assertion in post #129 that "this was a review," which it never was, as DD must have soon realized, compelling him to close the non-review wet dream thread.
