It is absolutely 0 of the governments business if anyone wants to pay to have consensual sex. They hide behind "trafficking" as if they are saving someone. Very few providers are trafficked, and if that was the focus they could easily legalize prostitution and take the criminal element almost completely out of it. Instead, they would much rather profit off ot by giving felonies out to innocent men, partaking in an act that hurts no one.

Ok, question.

Do you have to have actually engaged in a sexual act to be prosecuted? Can't find much online about that. Just says paying for sex is now a felony. If money exchanged hands, no sex occurred, how is that a crime? I haven't seen anything about 'attempting' to pay for sex changing.

If so, solicitation of a LEO in a sting operation can't be a felony since the contact did not occur. Right?

.
I looked up solicitation, copied and paste the following:
What is considered a solicitation?
The crime of solicitation is requesting, encouraging or demanding someone to engage in criminal conduct, with the intent to facilitate or contribute to the commission of that crime. Commonly, solicitation often is linked to prostitution with the crime being the request of someone to engage in sex for money.
Leo has to witness/hear or be solicited, it's not what they know or think, it's what they can prove. For the sake of the thread, I've been to a parlor on the 1st and 2nd of this month, all is and went well.

(That was long before it was a felony!)

A couple of tables over were five black clad deputies having lunch....in what I would call "jump out" gear.

"Leo" doesn't have to see anything ... they just need witnesses, recordings, and documentation.

Ted Bundy's final encounter on the street with "Leo" was a traffic stop for a busted taillight. That was in Florida after he had escaped from incarceration in Colorado (if I recall correctly). I don't think any "Leo" saw his rapes and murders.

I'm not sure why some people want to pretend openly that it's all ok out there. It's not.

There is so much bad info on this thread. A felony is way different, it gives more leeway.

Now that's some sage advice. They're pot lawyers but the same principle applies.

Agreed NaN. O'Mike said it best on pg. 15-just put the money and don't say anything. Even IF, which is a tiny chance, there's an active sting in an AMP you gave her a tip in advance. You certainly did NOT pay for sex.

A good lawyer and shutting the fuck up, you could well have a defense it was a tip for the massage, you were paying for more time, you were generous, etc. You didn't specify WHAT the $ was for. I give the chances of a Jupiter FL sting in HTX a low low chance, it's happened (7*) but doubt it will again.
Solicitation generally means offering or agreeing. This means communication, that can be heard, by LE, or captured by recording. Non-verbal communication can be directly observed, by LE, or, captured by video. Written communication can be recovered from e-mails and texts. If one already has an ongoing relationship with a provider, this communication need not occur, and so, cannot be captured as evidence.

This is not legal advice. I am not a lawyer.

I have a few well-established female friendships. We enjoy each others’ company, which I fully enjoy, without having to make any offers, or agreements. We can find each other, without the need for any electronic communication. (Again, not legal advice.)
justfor fun-

Go let yourself get caught then. Just please report back on how your plan worked out.

A "good lawyer"...shoot, I bet that will cost you a couple hundred dollars and he'll get it all taken care of for you.
Aye carumba...
Apparently they need a big orange sign in Spanish as well.
This is a not so good quality YouTube video but it's the first media I could find of guys getting arrested under the new law.

{Staff edit-ck-- real world info linked is not allowed

10 people of color and no white guys. I wonder what ethnicity the bait cops were? I wonder if these guys had any idea about the new law?
