Anybody seen The Highwaymen? I have always followed the story of Bonnie and Clyde, especially after moving here.
This is another take on the story that has never been presented.
Wondered how realistic it is.
Has anyone watched The OA on Netflix? Absolutely fantastic Brit Marling has a mind Id love to meet....and she's hot!
Seriously it's fascinating....I have a 20+ year background in yoga and tai-chi and the "movements" in the OA that alter reality are so interesting...and there's hot sex too

After Bonnie and Clyde shot those 2 Grapevine police officers on Easter Sunday, they fell out of favor with the public and became a serious and dangerous public enemy.

First Wonder Woman, then Atomic Blonde, then Red Sparrow.

Now here is another Female Empowerment movie.

This is from Luc Besson who really hasn't made anything good since The Fifth Element in 1998 and Leon The Professional in 1994.

What is the retirement age in the U. S. Navy for Naval aviators?

Wouldn't Maverick be almost 60 years old now or 60 years old?

And he would be too old to fly combat jet fighters?

A lot has changed since 1986.

The Grumman F-14 Tomcat that were in the first film are no longer used by the U. S. Navy.

The only country in the world that still has operational F-14 is Iran.

We sold them about 44 F-14 when their Shah was still in power before he was overthrown in 1979.

Military experts estimate only less than 15 F-14 in the Iranian Air Force are still operational due to lack of spare parts.

The Cold War has also ended.

Fighter Weapons School aka Top Gun school in the first movie, located at Naval air Station Miramar in San Diego, California no longer exists.

The Naval Air Station Miramar is still there but it's now a U.S. Marine Corps Air Station;

but that's also being phased out as the Marine F-18s are being slowly retired to make room for the new F-35 Lightning II Joint Strike Fighter Program,

which will eventually be relocated to Eglin AFB in Florida.

Kind of late to make a sequel 33 years after the first film.

Guess Cruise is trying to get a few more films done before he gets too old.

Like Stallone has a new Rambo movie coming out next month:

he looks very very old in it!!

Eddie Murphy going back to his comedy roots and making a sequel to Coming To America and to Beverly Hills Cop.

Murphy will also be in the movie TRIPLETS. the sequel to 1988 Twins along with Schwarzenegger and DeVito.

How is that possible though?

In the group photo at the beginning of the film, there wasn't an African American among the men standing with Mary Ann Benedict.

This new Rambo 5 movie is going to suck.

His niece gets kidnapped by the Mexican Cartel.

In the early 90's after Rambo 3 (1988),

there were several scripts being considered for Rambo 4.

One of them was Rambo finds out he has a long lost daughter,

she gets kidnapped by the Colombian cartel and you can figure out the rest.

That script was rejected.

Then it was resubmitted after Rambo 4 was made in 2008.

It was rejected again while the studio waits for a better script to come around.

Looks like a better script never came around:

they made Rambo 5 using a script that's been rejected twice in past nearly 31 years.

Also the running time is only 89 minutes.

Take out credits and it's even shorter than that.

Yup. Gonna sucks!

Thank you CG for not revealing any spoilers about IT: Chapter 2. I plan on watching it. I haven't watched the prequel that came out in 2017 but oh well...just gonna wing it!

I've read several Stephen King novels and enjoyed all of them. I'm looking forward to watching the next Stephen King movie that comes out in November "Dr. Dream". It's a sequel to The Shining. I've read both books but the movie should be fun!

You're right about one thing. Flying fighters is a young person's game. It's all about reflexes and quick reaction, plus some measure of strength and conditioning. A typical Squadron Commander might be in his early 40's, but people senior to that mainly fly limited hours to maintain currency and familiarity.

I doubt I'll spend money to go see the sequel. Maybe I'll watch it for free if it's offered on a long airline flight sometime.
