I posted a link elsewhere in this thread estimating there are 1.4 million people still in the US whose applications for asylum have been heard and denied. Surely this means they've had their "due process" and now it's time to go home, either voluntarily or when ICE comes knocking on the door.

Does "due process" mean some of these people get to say ok, we may have lost on our (bogus) asylum claims, but we've found half a dozen other immigration law loopholes that need to be "adjudicated" before we can legally be deported?

"Due process" should NOT mean the 12 million illegals who flooded in under Biden get to game the system in order to remain in the USA indefinitely!

No, Lusty. If someone is on TPS they can also have an asylum claim pending. Or a family-based green card case. A diversity lottery application. A marriage-based application. Those are just 4 examples of someone here legally having multiple legal pathways... some of which may not work out.

For those with asylum claims, they can wait in the U.S. , as per our laws, unless there is a specific disqualifier or a valid deportation order with no stay on it.

Kilmar was deported to a country he wasn't permitted to be deported to by our legal system and the government admitted the "mistake" in court but so far has failed to correct it. The MS-13 connection was flimsy and Trump looked like a buffoon as a result on his double down.
