What qualifies someone as a Diamond?

Oh great...now we get to hear about how Edward had a bowel movement and produced that list. Originally Posted by London Rayne

I don't understand why you think you have the authority of who is a snob and who isn't. If what women have on their websites is working for them, there really isn't any need for you to worry about it. After all they aren't marketing to other women. Originally Posted by Ansley

Nina, I think we're just going to have to "agree to disagree" on this one. I just don't see the elitist connotation that seems so clear to you. Language is an imprecise art, always open to interpretation -- for better or for worse. Originally Posted by Carrie Hillcrest

in the land of liberty i have the right of freedom of speech. Same like anyone can state anything on their pages. It is not yours to decide what is my need i feel to worry about, as it is mine and mine alone to do so. Thanks!

ps: would you say the same to a black person that feels a racist is judging him? If everybody did not consider anything their business, then the world would be still in stone age and being gay would still be a crime and black people would still not be allowed to sit in a bus, right? Maybe if we ask real nice Nina could make us a new one. Originally Posted by Becky

I give you the other two points - not that one - If i feel judged, i judge too. If someone offers quality - that needs proof. And you know - same like me - that this quality over quantity approach is nothing more than bashing "back to back providers" as offering bad quality because they handle more johns. Or so . so judging is a two way street.

And demimonde? How many providers really participate in it? Yet claiming to be courtesans? Hello? My whole family knows what i do. My boyfriends do. And my friends do too. Even some working collegues from my ex- day job. I could have gotten FIRED any DAY if someone told them what i do in switzerland. Now i don`t work there anymore but still... So don`t tell me about me judging the demimonde just because i am actively critizicing a dangerous approach.
I am a sexworker activist. I am planning on getting educated as a psychotherapist once in the USA who counsels people with queer life styles. I have sexworker activits as friends - on my real name facebook and in real name life - gathering together with my family and my parents. Not everyone knows what i do, but believe me the smart ones figure it out after a while....so it takes much courage to paritcipate in demimonde.....
My official therapy page states that i cater to sexworkers. So tell me again i judge demimonde, while most of them participate in it and judge it themselves by keeping it a secret (keeping things secret IS JUDGING)
Actually, if I remember correctly, you're in Europe. The good ole USA may be the land of liberty, but the only freedom of speech applies against government. Private industry and mores are more than able to suppress speech in any way they see fit. Originally Posted by charlestudor2005

same applies to products sold in boxes that are more than 10% bigger than the actual product (in the USA that is legal - the product looks bigger then)

so if that is the case in the business world., then why can i not critizice someone elses marketing strategies?
we seem to have different marketing strategies. In Europe there are some criterias someone has to fulfill to be able to brand his product in such and such a way. In the USA - pretty much not the case - that is why people get sued all the time over too hot coffee and such.

But maybe that is the whole problem....that i have......i am just used to certain standards that apply . and the USA is just a free market and i have to get used to it . I mean in Europe it would be plain rude to state you offer better quality or offer quality over quantity , because that is what people expect anyhow. I mean .. what else...In europe also would no one state "i cater to the elite " because probably we don`t even have an elite :-)
i mean maybe that is really the problem. I am too communist, and in the USA there are so many classes of society. And i do believe that escorts stating that on their page are not even aware of what it might imply, because they simply want to keep the idiots away, that is all. But still. things can get marketed without offending minorities, non.ivy.league.educated.people , and back to back providers :-). That would be POLITICAL CORRECT!

As far as no elite in Europe: I'm puzzled by your statement. The US has been known as the place where birth right has meant less than nearly any other country. Perhaps you are just joking here (I cannot tell) but Europe is rife with social classes, far more than the US is.

I wouldn't be so offended by what other people say to market themselves. Some clients prefer to see women who are low-volume, and some don't care at all. Women who talk about the low number of clients they see are trying to appeal to men who care about that and are willing to pay more for it. I noticed on your site, you mention that you are college-educated. I doubt it was a conscious attempt to insult women who aren't—it's just part of who you are, and something that might appeal to your target clientele.

Of course, the ladies who say they're low-volume could be lying and seeing five men a day. We could all be lying about our university educations, ages, measurements, that we enjoy our jobs, etc, etc.
I don't think we've ever explored that topic Originally Posted by pjorourke
